Hockey is my Favorite sport, i love it, i have played it since i was eleven or so. My favorite team is the Montreal Canadiens. Thier nickname is the Habs, Les Habitants en francais. that is the meaning behind my screen name. My favorite player is Saku Koivu, he is the captain on the Finland olympic team. He plays center for the Canadiens. I have met him a few times, and have had some good conversations with him, he is really a great guy, i look up to him alot, he has inspired me with alot of things, like to never give up, try your hardest. He shows all of this while he is playing hockey.His picture is above. The Canadiens just traded thier captain of 4 years, and thier leading scorer. Vincent Damphousse to the Sharks, and Mark Recchi to the Flyers. I think this was a big mistake, but they had no chance of making the playoffs, after the long losing streak they had earlier this year. They just started to pick up, when they traded thier top defence man and thier starting goalie, Dave Manson, and Jocilyn Thibalt, to the Chicago Blackhawks. Thier new goalie Jeff Hackett has been outstanding, he started off kind of weak, but then progressed and now is excellent. I think that it is impossible for then to make it to the playoffs this year, which is unusual for Montreal, but next year they will have a strong team. |
