To get your free Pokémon gear, all you have to do is collect UPCs from tasty Quaker cereals like Cap'n Crunch® and Life®. Look for specially marked Quaker Chewy® granola bars as well, because there's no reason that lunch and snack time can't get a piece of the action.

Identifying Counterfeit Pokémon Merchandise
The phenomenal success of the Pokémon video games and television series has unfortunately led to widespread victimization of consumers through the marketing and distribution of counterfeit merchandise. These counterfeits include hundreds of different types of products including plush toys, action figures, school supplies and trading cards. It is unlawful to market or sell counterfeit products. Nintendo is working together with law enforcement officials to stop the sale of these products and prosecute the infringers.
When you're shopping for Pokémon goods, be sure to examine any item closely to make sure it is authentic. Authentic products which are licensed by Nintendo are designed and manufactured to high quality standards and meet or exceed U.S. Government safety standards. Counterfeits are manufactured using inferior materials and workmanship and do not bear appropriate notices and instructions for their safe and proper use. To ensure you purchase authentic products be sure to:
1. Examine the products carefully. Counterfeits may have blurry printing or wrong colors. Who wants a blue Pikachu?
2. Ask the retailer pointed questions if the product appears suspicious. If the store can't guarantee an item is authentic, you might want to think twice before purchasing the item.
3. Look for the following proper indications of intellectual property ownership and the Official Nintendo Seal of Quality®.
Authorized goods will have the following copyright information printed somewhere on the package:
© 1995, 1996, 1998 Nintendo, CREATURES, GAME FREAK.
TM and ® are trademarks of Nintendo.
© 1999 Nintendo.
Official Pokémon merchandise will also have the Nintendo Seal of Quality printed on the package. Look for one or both of these seals to make sure it's real!

Pokémon Snack Attack!
Grocery stores across the country have been invaded by Pokémon, in the form of Pokémon Punch Red Rolls. In case you're wondering, Pokémon Rolls have been designed to taste like fruit punch, not Pokémon (just imagine munching on a Muk-flavored fruit roll)!
Each box of Pokémon Rolls includes one of five Pokémon trading card game cards. If you're lucky, you might find a special gold-bordered Meowth card, only available in boxes of Pokémon Rolls.
As an extra bonus, the backing paper of each Pokémon Roll features trading card game tips.
Here at Pokémon World, we decided to sample some of these Pokémon Rolls to see if they could stand up to our high culinary standards.
We found the Rolls to be soft and chewy, with a delicious tang that was not overly sweet. The Pokémon Rolls occasionally stuck to our teeth, but we determined this to be a positive quality in the world of fruit snacks.
We were pleased to find a Bulbasaur trading card in our box, although we must admit we were hoping for a gold-bordered Meowth. Well, we guess it's unfair for food critics to expect special treatment.
Pokémon Project Studio
Game Boy Color gives you the chance to catch 'em all, and with Pokémon Project Studio for your PC you can make 'em all too!
Published and developed by The Learning Company, Pokémon Project Studio is an entertaining software program that gives you the tools to create hundreds of different Pokémon projects.
Like the original Game Boy Pokémon games, Project Studio comes in two versions: Red and Blue. Each version of Project Studio features 81 of the 151 total Pokémon, divided in the same way as the video games.
Pokémon Project Studio is loaded with over 600 different Pokémon graphics and 250 unique Pokémon projects. Using a virtual Pokédex, users are guided through the process of creating custom Pokémon goodies.
The projects are broken down into 15 categories, and each category contains a number of related projects. Here are the different categories:
Birthday Kit: invitations, place mats, gift wrap, banners, place cards
Greeting Cards: birthdays, friendship, invitations, wishes
Signs: birthdays, events, information, sales
Banners: birthdays, events
Photo Fun: frames, add-ons
Stationary: diary pages, letterhead
Character Cards
Envelopes
Calendars
Postcards: announcements, characters
Wearables: badges, masks, bracelets, necklaces, tattoos
Paper: airplanes, fortune tellers
Decorative: keychains, decals
Certificates: achievement awards, gift certificates
Stickers
For each project, you have two choices. If you decide to make your own Pokémon trading cards, for example, you can either create your cards from scratch, or simply make adjustments to the designs provided by Project Studio. As a result, Project Studio can be fun for designers of all skill levels.
As long as you have a color printer, most of the projects can be completed using regular paper. Some projects, like necklaces and keychains, require the use of special shrink sheet paper. Project Studio comes with a supply of shrink sheets, as well as lamination sheets to protect your creations.
With tons of options and great Pokémon graphics, Project Studio is sure to keep you busy for as long as your imagination will allow. The only problem is, you may not have space in your room for all of your new Pokémon gear!
The suggested retail price for Pokémon Project Studio is $24.99.
