Where Shadow Casters Run

I sat alone...no space or time,

With broken dreams and shattered mind;

Tears flowed from eyes that could not see,

The value God once saw in me.

You slipped in through some unknown door,

You sat beside me---on the floor,

You took my hand and smiled at me,

And in that moment set me free.

We laughed and talked for hours that day,

I hoped you'd never go away,

Heaven sent...a dream come true,
From Gods own heart....He sent me you!

Some think it "foolish fantasy",

I smile...for I know destiny-

A lifelong friendship...meant to be,

Yet, often times I wonder,

Am I you or are you me?

You are a shadow of all our tomorrows,

Bright shining as the sun,

Who met me at the mark of time...

Where Shadow Casters run.

We've walked in flower- strewn meadows,

Loved beneath a star-lit sky,

And drifted through the land of dreams,

Together...you and I.

You entered through some unknown door,

So valliant, courageous, and kind,

All that you've given has evened the score,

For my self and the shadows who live in my mind.

If ten thousand years should come and go,

One fact would remain, I honestly know,

We could not love you one breath more,

You are what none has been before.

Your love, like gold, came flowing,

Through a dark and stormy sea,

Anchoring us safely in your heart...

The Shadow Dwellers and me.

We've sailed to new horizons,

Challanged new frontiers;

Dreamed new dreams, together,

And dried an ocean of tears.

Seems we've loved you for a lifetime-

But we've have only just begun..

To build a new tomorrow,

Here, where Shadow Casters run.

I recall a time on heavens shore,

On the other side of that unknown door,

When asked, "Are you willing?"

I could nver have guessed-

But will always be thankful

Our answers were, "Yes!".
