Putt putt with our friends.
You taught me how to swing
At the driving range
Trying to keep from laughing.
Then we played volleyball,
And some soccer for awhile.
I asked for chapstick
As I sat by the fire.
A joke was made
While you weren't there.
Then we headed for
A game of pool downstairs.
You sat on my lap
While you plaed the game.
Slowly people left
And soon the time came.
Details aren't needed
Because the memory is gone.
My first kiss was that night
But it's been so long...

July+2nd
To you this date means
The start of happiness.
To me this date means
Hate and bitterness.
2nd year in a row
You left me in tears,
Because on that night
You revealed all my fears.
Crying in the dark,
Hurting worse than before,
While you sat kissing her,
The one you adore.
Bitterness still lingers
To this very day,
Even though that night
Has faded far away...

I met a boy
Who you happened to know.
He thought I was so hot.

July+27th
There's no longer you or him
Pulling me down.
My feet were firmly
Planted on the ground.
Not because I'd forgotten
How much it hurt,
But because on this date
I found its worth.
I met the man of my dreams
Who long surpassed you.
He loves the Lord and
Knows the meaning of true.

Now
I know this is harsh,
But you'd say the same
If you found out something special
Was just a game.
I've moved on.
It's been a whole year.
Now I'm starting new
Without the tears.
I love you for real.
Why else would I forgive?
It'll be hard without you,
