I see all the couples
That pass by me each day
And wonder why it has to be
That you live so far away

Why is it that we had to say goodbye
So soon after learning each others names
It hurts almost worst than
Those stupid relationship games

Nothing seems to be working out
And I'm not known to cry
But while tears reach the surface
I keep asking God why

Why you have to be there
And I have to be here
And why we can't be together
And you can't hold me near

I try to focuz on the possitive
Someone likes me and actually cares
But then I always remember the part
That I'm here and you're there

It'd almost be easier to say
No more, I prolly won't see you around
But that'd rip my heart to pieces
I need this love I've finally found

I can't just forget you
'Cause you've got my heart
Somehow you found it
Right from the start

It's killing me inside
Doesn't God even care?
Why'd He put me here?
And you way over there?

Maybe we'll never know
Maybe we've got it all wrong
But to something like this
You can never hang on too long

So maybe one day while the sun shines
God will say, you've had enough to bear
And I'll see your face once again while either
