 Comments: my 13 years old daughter has lpd on both hips. shes able to walk, but not for a long time. for school she uses a wheelchair. she takes pt in the school 2x a week. she still in constant pain, and i feel that this will never end.

 Comments: i am now 35 yrs. old. had legg-perthes in right hip from age 5 - 12. 6 1/2 yrs in petrie casts, followed by 1st time expiermental operation. a sucess after 5 1/2 months recovery in hospital. treatment provided by Shriners childrens hospital in salt lake city, Utah. some occasional arthritis after age 26 to present due to scar tissue build up. i go to massage theripist once a year. she is able to break up the scar tissue preventing me from another surgery. Shriners have discovered that this disease is 3rd to 4th generation hereditary. my phone # is 5807440440
