IF JESUS CAME...
Would you have to change your clothes before you let Him in?
Or hide some magazines, and put the Bible where they'd been?
Would you hide your worldly music and put some humn books out?
Could you let Jesus walk right in, or would you rush about?
And I wonder if the Savior spent a day or two with you,
Would you go right on doing, the things you always do?
Would you go right on saying, the things you always say?
Would life for you continue as it does from day to day?
Would you take Jesus with you everywhere you go?
Or would you maybe change your plans for just a day or so?
Would you be glad to have Him meet your closest friends?
Or would you hope they stay away until His visit ends?
Would you be glad to have Him stay forever on and on?
Or would you sigh with great relief when He at last was gone?
It might be interesting to know, the things that you would do,
If Jesus came in person, to spend some time with you.

IF JESUS CAME...
I would not change a single thing
I'd bow my head and let Him in
I'd leave my worldly music play
for He knows He's in my heart all day
I would not rush about at all,
I'd kneel at His feet as He probed my soul.
I'd not waste my time with Jesus near
doing the things that I must here.
If a friend came by, I'd not change a word
I've nothing to hide since each thing He heard.
If my Savior told me to continue the norm
I'd not be ashamed for where I would roam.
If He asked to see the one closest to me
in the mirror His face is the one He would see.
If He wanted forever to stay here with me
He would not have to move or need a new key.
The sound of my voice He knows very well
I talk to Him always, He's the first one I tell.
He's always helped me with each of my chores,
When my life is too painful He opens the doors.
If Jesus came in person forever to stay,
it just would make perfect each brand new day.
He knows He is welcome each day in my life
be it happy, or sad, or filled with much strife.
I still would continue His praises to sing
nothing would change except one little thing.
He'd see in my eyes that when I pray
He'd hear me ask "take me home to Heaven" each day
there is no reason for me to stay
I've had nothing here on this earth
that's mattered from the day of my birth,
Not love or wishes or dreams come true.
Why I'm still here I have no clue.

This page is under construction, waiting for more poetry to magically appear on it.
When I have the inspiration and the concentration and the poetry to fill it, like all the other pages on this site, I will bring you more poetry to read.
In the meantime, since you're already here, would you please go up to the upper left hand side of the page and vote for this site? Then, would you like to sign my guestbook at the bottom of the page? Now, there's one more thing - who said a blank page would be boring? How about sending me an Email? You can write to me and tell me what you think of this site, any ideas you might have so that I can improve it, or even tell me what you don't like about it. Please write to me at
KisSoSoft@aol.com
Thank you.

Now, I have another idea! How about going to my other website? That might be fun! You can vote for that and sign the guestbook there too and even write to me with suggestions. That site is so new that not too many people know about it yet, but I promise you, there's some very good poetry on it. It's called POETRY! YES! NOW! Click on this link and go see if you like it.

I hope you're not tired yet. Do you write poetry? Or, do you know anyone that does? Why don't you send it to me with permission to publish it, and if I like it, I'll print it there, or if you like this site better, I'll even print it here! See, and I'll bet you thought it would be boring to go to a blank page, huh? Nahhhh! Look at all the fun things you can get to do. Thank you so much! Really!
