Listen to this:*** Feb.24,1999 *The church finances havd been rather low, since there are very few attending services at this time. So, my husband and I have been agreeing in prayer for the finances to pay a couple of the bills. The total amounting to $330.00. We had been praying for about a week or so and then this morning Feb. 24,1999, I decided I would read the whole book of I Timothy for my devotional reading and then got down to pray. When I was through, I didn't want to start into my daily routine yet, so I picked up a book I had laid out to study some more. I hadn't gotten to it as I was busy with other projects. There was a bookmark in it so I turned there and began reading. I have this habit of underlining special thoughts to me in the text. What I read was so refreshing I thought I would double check and see if the author were John Avanzini, I was sure it was, but wanted to check and find his name anyway. It wasn't on the pages I was reading and it wasn't on the spine of the book, "Financial Excellence". As I lifted the cover to go to the frontispage there were 11 twenty dollar bills and a ten. In awe, I counted them it came to $230.00, wow, "How did that get there?" I recounted it and then fanned through the pages and over in the middle of the book was a folded $100.00 bill. The complete total we had been believing God to send in to meet the bills that were due. I called my youngest son and asked him if he had hidden any money in our home and he said not that he remembered and how much was it? When I told him, he informed me that he would have remembered an amount like that. He knows just what I need, but he expects us to stand on the WORD, to believe He will work as He promised in His Word. We can't just sit around waiting for God to move in our lives. I give God all the credit. He knew how much we would need and He caused it to be put where we would find it at the appointed time. Praise God. He is so faithful. I don't know how it got there, how long it was there or if HE caused someone to put it there. Surely, I would have remembered something like that???? Anyway, HE met the need. Thank You, Lord! I give You Praise. |
