This works on both American Versions.
Here is a trick to duplicate your Pokemon. I will try to explain it the best I can. For this trick to work, you need both games and two Game Boys linked together. Here is what you do: 1) Put the Pokémon you want duplicated into one of the games. Either red or blue. Let's use red for an example.

2) Put a Pokémon you don't mind losing in the other cartridge. Which is blue.

3) Go to the trade center and trade the Pokémon you want duplicated (red) with the one you want to erase (blue).

4) After they are traded, leave the game (blue) on with the Pokémon you erased and turn the game (red) off with the Pokémon you wanted duplicated, before the "Trade Completed" sign appears, right after the "Waiting..." sign disappears.

5) If you did the steps right, the game (red) with the Pokémon you wanted duplicated should still be there and the one you erased on the other game (blue) should be the same as the one you traded. I tried to explain it as best as I could remember so don't get mad at me if you can't get it working.

Note: They say this might mess up your game, but it worked fine with many people. If anything happens to your game please don’t blame me. Someone else told me this trick.

--GET MEW--

Mew is supposedly Mewtwo’s mother, being Pokemon #151. To get him/her, you need to be at Vermilion City before the S.S. Anne sets sail. Now in order to do this, you need a pokemon with SURF and STRENGTH. You will need to trade to get either a pokemon with these abilities off a trade or a pokemon that has learned CUT so you can progress through the game and get SURF and STRENGTH yourself. Either way you must trade. With the pokemon that has SURF and STRENGTH, walk past the guard with a ticket in hand and use SURF to swim to a little island. On the island, use STRENGTH to move a truck and revile a pokeball with Mew inside!!!! Mew will be at level 100, although I am not positive about this.

--CATCH MEWTWO--

To catch Mewtwo (#150) you must first defeat the Elite 4 and be added to the hall of fame. Wait until the credit’s are over, and then wait until the title screen appears. Continue your game and you’ll be back at your house with the Pokemon you used. Then FLY to Cerulean City, and go up the bridge where the 5 trainers were. At the end, SURF across the river on the left until you reach an entrance to a cave. Navigate to the very end of the cave, until you reach Mewtwo.

If you have the Master Ball you can catch him without harming him, but if you don’t, you’ll have to catch him the old fashioned way. Either poison, paralyze, lull him to sleep, or use any other harmful conditions to catch him with an Ultra Ball, and make sure his life is very low. Hint: save the game right before you battle Mewtwo, this way if you screw up you can turn off the game and turn it back on, providing you with unlimited chances!

--GET OVER 99 OF AN ITEM--

1)Go to Virdian town and talk to the guy far left of the gym and when he ask you something say NO!!!

(Note: He should show you how to catch a weedle)

2)Then press start and go to ITEMS and put the item you want more than 99 of 6th from the top

3)Fly to Cinabar Island and got to the east coast and surf

(Note: When you surf surf where it looks like your half on land and half in water or it won't work)

4)When you fight a pokemon named MISSINGNO or a pokemon with his names in symbols run away or kill him but do not catch him

(Note: If you catch him it could mess up your game)

5)Now go back to ITEMS and the item 6th from the top should have a symbol next to a number that means it worked Build Your Free Home PageVisit other great pages on:Sports & RecreationSports & Recreation
. Go into the Safari Zone.
2. Go to an area/patch of grass that has the pokemon that you want to battle or catch.
3. Let time run out on its own while you are on a patch of grass that the pokemon are in, don't walk out of the park.
4. Go to the left coastline of Cinnabar Island and SURF around. You should come across pokemon from the Safari Zone!
Now you can easily catch pokemon such as Kangaskhan, Pinsir, and Tauros without having to use bait and rocks and rely strictly up to chance. It make it even easier if you have Master Balls to do it with! (See Item Duplicate Code)

When throwing a Pokeball at a Pokemon, hold up and B at the same time the Pokeball opens. It takes a little practice, but once you get it working, you will be able to catch
Pokemon without much trouble. I've caught Zapdos and Articuno with this trick!

To easily gain experience, simply switch the Pokémon you want to train with the top Pokémon on your list. When you go into battle the Pokémon will pop out. You can then switch to another Pokémon. Once you win the battle the beginning Pokémon and the fighting Pokémon will both gain experience points

All of the slot machines have different odds, which change every time. Play each machine 4 times, and if it hits 2 or more, then stick with that one, because it's probably hot.

If the slow machine forces you really close to a 777 or Bar Bar Bar it will probably give you one or the other soon.

Walk around the game corner pressing "a" and you will find coins

Here are some really good items that I have found using the Itemfinder!

*Full Restore in Victory Restore in Victory Road near the exit

*PP Up on Route 17 on right side of cycling road

*PP Up on Route 13

*Max Ether on the small island while your are traveling to Victory Road

*Nugget in Route 7 underground path

*Full Restore, and X Special in route 5 underground path

*Ether in Unknown Dungeon on first floor

*Rare Candy in Cerulean City in the backyard of the house in the top left corner nearest to the Unknown Dungeon

*Great Ball in trash can in the kitchen of The S.S. Anne

To get the hidden "Yoshi" pokemon you need two players who both have beaten the game and have all 150 pokemon.

1.) The Blue version player trades the Red version player for a Dratini.

2.) The Blue version player then gets Dratini to a Dragonite and gives it back to the Red version player. Then the Red version player heads to the basement level of the Unknown Dungeon and surf closest to where MewTwo is/was. Then he/she uses a Fire Stone on the Dragonite.(Notice "Not Available" will appear but still select it.)

3.) The screen will glitch, and the Dragonite will evolve into "Yoshi".

4.) This Pokemon will have the stats and name of Dragonite, however it will have Yoshi's pic and will be No. 999. All you have to do is rename it as Yoshi.
