Getting the Mystical Cat
Once you have beaten the game, you are able to enter that cave that is by Cerulean City. In here is the last Pokemon that you are only able to fight once, the Mewtwo. This guy is worth the trouble. His cave is three levels, a first floor, a second floor, and a basement. Getting to him is not that hard. In the first floor there are five different stairs that you can take. The first floor of the cave is organized into a circle shape, basically. you enter in the south, and head north. Skip the first stairway, and enter the water. Follow the water all the way to the end, and you should be next to another stairway going up. Skip that stairway, and instead head down and to the left. The path now curves up and onto a rise, and you should see the last stairway. from here on out it is a oneway path. Mewtwo is not hard to get if you saved the Master Ball, which I suggested back when you first got it. The ball will automatically catch him. The real hard part is surviving the cave until you reach him. I suggest that you bring in a creature with dig, and a very high leveled Pokemon. Stick the high level Pokemon in slot one, and just run from whatever you see. The enemies aren't that hard, it is just that you fight a lot of them. When you reach Mewtwo, and capture him with the Master Ball, use the "Dig" ability and exit the cave. It is as simple as that. Mewtwo's Cave offers little in new Pokemon. You can fight Chansey's here, but they have crappy abilities, and you are better off getting one from the Safari Zone, or using the Seafom Cheat. There are a lot of items in Mewtwo's Cave though. The first floor has a Max Elixer, a Nugget, and a Full Restore. The second floor has an Ultra Ball and a Full Restore. The basement has a Max Revive, and an Ultra Ball. Mewtwo is the last big Pokemon to worry about, unless you forgot to get some other Pokemon.
