How to Enter Bottle Grotto

There are several things that you will have to do before you can enter Bottle Grotto.

FIND BOW-WOW:
When you return to Mabe Village after completing the Tail Cave, the townsfolk will say that something terrible has happened to Madame Meow Meow's dog, Bow Wow. When you talk to Madame Meow Meow, she will inform you that the Molblins kidnaped Bow Wow and took him to their lair.

To rescue Bow Wow, go to the Molblins' Hideout. To get there from Madame Meow Meow's house, go left one screen, up four screens, right one screen, up two screens, right three screens, up one screen and right one screen to find the entrance. Enter it and walk a bit to find the Molblin Leader. Step out of his way when he charges so that he runs into the wall. While he is stunned, hit him with the Sword. Repeat this pattern eight times, then go right one room to free Bow Wow. After you rescue him, return to Madame Meow Meow in Mabe Village.

FIND THE ENTRANCE TO BOTTLE GROTTO
Talk with Madame Meow Meow, then take Bow Wow for a walk in the Goponga Swamp at map location 5-C. To get there from Madame Meow Meow's House, go left one screen, up four screens, right one screen, up two screens, left one screen, up one screen and right two screens. As Bow Wow eats the Fierce Flowers, go to the upper-right corner of the swamp to find the entrance to the Bottle Grotto.

Once you enter the castle, go up into the next room. Light the two torches in the middle of the room. This will open the cloded door, go through it.Kill the enemys in this room and get the small key. Now go right, hit the swith in this room with your sword and go down. Hit the switch in that room so you can open the chest, which contains a small key. Now go right and jump across the three holes. Step on the floor switch to reveal the hidden chest, open it, it contains another small key in it. Now go up into the next room, kill the two enemys and a key will apear, to get it go back down, left and up then right and get the key. Now go back to where you just were-left, down, right, up and right. Kill the spiky turtles and go up through the door. Kill the two bats and then move the two blocks in the middle of the room together to reveal a hidden stairway. Go into it. Go through the underground tunnel and up the ladder. Light the two torches in this room(hint: be carefull of the holes in the middle of this room) Now go through the one way revolving door, in this room is a mini nightmare. To kill it simply hit it with your sword(hint: be carefull of the cracked floor, you can fall through it) Killing this mini nightmare will make a teleporter appear in the middle of the room. Go through it. Now go up, and left through the locked door(note: you should have two keys at this time) Kill the enemys in this room and go up. Light the torches in this room then jump over the hole in the floor, kill the enemy then open the chest. Now go down, right, down and back through the teleporter. Now go right, up, carefully open the chest being aware of the monster in the corner sucking you towards it, now go up and left, there's also a chest in this room. You should only have one small key at this time. To kill the two ghosts in this room just light the torches, doing so will reveal the hidden chest which contains the power bracelet. The power bracelet gives you the ability to lift pots and stones. Now go right and through the top of the screen, and down. The nightmare's key is in this room, to get it, kill the three enemys in this room in the following order, the rabbit, by throwing a pot at it, then the bat, and finally, the stalfos night. This will make the chest containing the nightmare's key. Open it, now go up, right, and down the stairway and into the underground passage. On one of the platforms in the underground passage that you would normally stand on to make go down, you pick up the pot in the room and stand on the platform and it will go down. Go up the ladder and into the room with the door to the Nightmare. To defeat this nightmare, wait till he gos inside his pot and throw it against the wall, do this three times and his pot will shatter. Now just hit him with your sword. After defeating him, get your heart and then get your next musical instrument.
