The Journey to Celadon City
Before I say anything else, I want to say this. I have been writing this sight for a couple of weeks now. I work on my computer while Pokemon is turned on, and the bicycle music is getting very old. Has anyone else noticed this? Anyway, Route 8 offers a few things. You should capture a wild Growlithe, and fight the trainers to get the 330, 1680, 550, 285, 360, 650, 345, 1540 and 500. By the time you do this, you should see another underground passage, like the one going from Cerulean City to Vermilion City. This one leads to Celadon, and has two items hidden in it. I got an Elixer and a Nugget. When you exit the tunnel you will be right next to Celadon City. Now comes the fun part. Oh yeah, and just a reminder, you should have your Pokemon between level 22-24 with your main Pokemon on a higher level to kill big guys.
Celadon City
This city requires some time. The first thing I would do is walk right through the town and exit through the west exit. Then you should cut the tree and capture a Doduo, and Ratticate if you wish. Then I would head east some more, one screen, and talk to the girld to get the HM02, "FLY". Then go back to the town, because the other way is blocked by that sleeping Pokemon. You should talk to everyone in the city, and here is a list of things to do. Go in the back door of the mansion to get the Eevee. This guy is cool, because using either the fire, water, or thunder stones you can upgrade him three different ways. Next I would fight Erika. She uses grass pokemon, so be sure to bring a hight level fire pokemon, for me Charizard level 60. In the gym you should get 1680, 345, 1470, 480, 840, 345, 1820, 2871(Erika), RAINBOWBADGE(Erika) and a TM21(Erika). The next stop should be the castle they call a store. This place is huge. Each floor specializes in certain types of items, and each floor has great things to by. By the time you leave this store you will want to spend some time gaining money, because there are tons of good things to buy. Just a reminder Red Versioners, trade with someone to get the Meowth, because they earn money. On the third floor someone will give you a TM18. On the roof of the store you can get three TMs. There is a girl that is thirsty, and you can get a TM13, TM48, and TM49 if you give her either Fresh Water, Sodapop, or Lemonade respectively. That is it for the store, except for any spending that you want to do. The next area I went to was the bar. I am not sure if it is a bar or cafe or what, but someone lost all of their money. When you talk to this man, he will give you his Coin Case. This will allow for you to use the slot machines in the Rocket Casino. Coincidentally enough, that is where I went next. When you go into the Casino, and talk to everyone and you will recieve a total of 50 coins. Coins are what you gamble with. I hope that you like to earn money, or are extremely lucky, because things are expensive. In the back of this Casino is a guy who you are going to want to talk to/fight. You get 600 for defeating this guy, and he gives you access to the poster. Search the poster, and a hidden set of stairs will be revealed. This is the Rocket's Base. Note... After you get the HM03, for "Surf", you can cross the water and talk to the old man in the middle of town. He will give you a TM41 for your efforts. !!!This is very important!!! Do not for any reason give the evolution stones to your Pokemon until they have all of the abilities that they are going to learn. Once a Pokemon has been upgraded with a stone, it will never gain another ability.
Team Rocket HQ
If you have been to my friend's site, you might see some humor in the title of this part. This basement hideout is a joke. I am not going to tell you how to find all the items, because it is not hard, but I will list them for you. The first floor is divided up into three parts, and all of them are seperated from each other. In one area you can find 630, 630, and an Escape Rope. In the next you can find 600, 570, and a Hyper Potion. And in the last you can get 660. In floor two you can find 510, a Nugget, a Moon Stone, a TM07, and a Super Potion. In the third floor you can find a TM10, a Rare Candy, 630, and 600. The fourth floor, and last, has a HP UP, a TM02, 630, a Lift Key, in one section. The other section has 690, an Iron, 690, 2871(Giovanni) and a Silph Scope(Giovanni). This brings an end to the wonders of Celadon City, and brings us back to Lavender Town.
Pokemon Tower
If you hadn't noticed before you needed the Silph Scope to get through the tower, and that is why I am talking about this after Celadon City. This tower is pretty basic, and there isn't much to explain, so I will just list items to find again. 1st floor does not have anything. The second floor offers you gary, the master of repetitive insults. Defeat him, which shouldn't be too hard if you have a couple high level Pokemon, and smell him later. You get 1625 for defeating him. Floor three contains 660, 690, 720, an Escape Rope, and the first time that I saw the unidentified ghost Pokemon. The forth floor has 690, 660, 720, an Elixer, an Awakening, and a HP UP. The fifth floor has a Nugget, 660, 690, 720, and 660. The sixth floor ahs 660, 720, 720, a Rock Candy, and an X Accuracy. The seventh, and final floor, only has some pathetic Rocket trainers. Defeat these guys and get 750, 780, 670, and then talk to Mr. Fuji. He will take you back to his house and give you the Poke Flute. This is opens up yet another path for you. I suggest, however, that before you leave the tower you collect a Gastly and a Cubone. You can now open up the two paths that are blocked by the sleeping Pokemon, and you can buy Fresh Water, from the roof of the store in Celadon City, and give it to on of the guards surrounding Saffron City.
