The Philosophy and Rules of "Ladies and Gentlemen Only."

The "Ladies and Gentlemen Only."
room was structured to provide the maximum
protection against harassment, and a peaceful place
for Ladies to visit.

We want them to enjoy the fun and exciting
feeling of a warm friendly voice chat room without
having to be bothered by others who don’t respect
their right to an honorable and decent atmosphere.

We realize that there are Gentlemen who also enjoy
this kind of genre, and these are the kind of men we
wish to attract. However, men aren’t usually inundated by the
sheer volume of unwanted advances as are the women.

Activities which are not allowed, include:

1. Being generally disrespectful and mean-spirited to
others in the room,

2. Starting conversations that are sexually
inappropriate,

3. Using foul or inappropriate language,

4. Private messages that aren’t pre-approved in the
chat room

5. Cams are not used in this room. This is simply a
decision made to help keep everyone on the same page
and not disturb the flow of the room. It’s just our
choice as a room and we are sticking with it. There
are plenty of rooms that will allow that if it is your
priority.

6. Sending unrequested files, the hazards are many. If
you wish to send a file, you must have the receivers
permission before it is sent.

7. Any other activities in the room that tend to lead
the content down a path that is disrespectful to the
decency of the room. This must be a judgment call
by the admin! Please make his/her job easier by not
arguing with them when a decision is made.

*** "The WATCHWORDS are: Respectful, Kind, Gentle,
Firm, Peaceful...the admins will deal with each
problem respectfully, kindly, firmly, gently, and keep
(or return to) the atmosphere of peacefulness ASAP (as
soon as possible)!"

*** Other Helpful information for our admins, including
questions and that have been raised since the "Ladies
and Gentlemen Only." room has grown to be one of the
most popular rooms on Paltalk.

1. Reddotting or Booting, it doesn’t require meanness,
just the matter of fact of protecting the room.

* Firmly, kindly and gently, as you would remove a
baby chick from it’s nest. SMILE as you do it, and
simply state why you are taking the measure.

* If a room member wants to discuss what you have
done, Give a short one-liner as to why, and try to
take it off-line in a PM if they want to discuss it
further.

* In the case of someone who is threatening the room
with cyber-terrorism (such as destroying pc’s with
viruses, etc,) immediately right click their id and
call palhelp to intervene and help. This situation has
arisen already, and that it Palhelp’s advice on the
matter. Be sure to jot down their id accurately for
follow up.

*Someone who has caused so much trouble that they need
to be permamently banned from the room needs to be
reported to the room owners, "jw8484" or "jen8484" at
ljwbr@yahoo.com. Palhelp has informed me that a
permanent ban from any room, can only be administered
by the owner of the room.

2. I have been asked about changing the rating of the
room from "G" to "R" in order to keep children from
coming into the room and causing problems, or just
being in the room in case something inappropriate
comes up.

*In answer to the first concern, after checking the
facts, Palhelp has informed me that all users must be
a minimum of 13 years old. The examples that I have
been given of kids coming into the room has been much
younger than this (one was only 7 years old). Those
children under the age of 13 who are in the room
alone, must be asked to leave (in a loving and gentle
manner ). Please understand that asking them to leave
is not an option, neither is it an option to do this
in a loving and gentle manner. If they are accompanied
by a responsible adult they may speak shortly (this is
up to the admin’s judgement call),.

*As for the children 13 or older being in the room
when something inappropriate may happen, I have this
to say. Inappropriate situations shouldn’t be (and
aren’t being ) tolerated by any of our admins, whether
they are created by adults or children. These children
who are acting up should be treated as any adult who
would do that same.

VISITORS REMEDY FOR MALTREATMENT BY ADMINS.
*******************************************

*PLEASE REMEMBER, Our admins are human, and humans
make mistakes. The admins we have chosen must have
the quality of being approachable for constructive
criticism by the by the group owner and/or at the
regular weekly group meetings. We are a team, and
there is no room on a team for prima dona.

However when an admin is in the room, that person is
in charge! Don't argue with them, they are expending
every effort to maintain the kind of respectful
atmosphere in the room we all are stiving for.
