Dear Countrymen, We are at the moment faced with a fragile future. As talks are going on that the former presidential candidate,Colonel Dr Kiiza Besigye is training a rebel group to overthrow the current regime by force. We must think twice,see where we have come from and where we are at the moment and what we are likely to be tomorrow. We must know that war is a fertile ground for expanding government. There will be limited civil liberties,a controlled economy,a very powerful central government and war with our neighbouring countries. Put our dear country in your heart and let Uganda remain the pearl of Africa. | Dear Fellow Ugandan in Freedom, Welcome to our website. Libertarianism is the movement for social tolerance through less and no government (substituting satisfactory private arrangements for imposed government solutions). It is THE advanced movement today and the hope of not only our noble country but our beautiful continent in a new world. Our objectives are: 1)Encourage understanding and use of Libertarian and study of Classical Liberal concepts in solving problems. 2)Provide resources for interested persons. 3)Provide a community of support for Civic Action, Personal Change and Social Improvement, working with all groups. 4) Alternatives to the twin dangers of Left group rule and Right elite rule through voluntary institutions and human rights. Among our ongoing goals: 1) An internet platform for Libertarian ideas, resources and discussion. 2) Providing guidance for conferences in Academia, Government, Business and local communities. 3) Information and education to develop our heritage while assuring our future through projects of: *Translation *Outreach *Inter-group understanding *Seminars on how Libertarian ideas can help develop concrete solutions *Interface for activists with International Libertarian community, internet tools, and encouragement.
