POSITIVE ENERGY CYCLE



Greetings. Welcome to LIGHT TIMES newsletter. The purpose of LIGHT TIMES is to support the sharing of LIGHT. This is a participatory newsletter for LIGHT-oriented people of all ages and stages in life.

LIGHT is energy. LIGHT is a particular type of energy. LIGHT is a supportive, encouraging, inclusive, uplifting, inspiring, and therefore deeply loving energy.

More than anything else, EARTH needs our LIGHT now. Our collective LIGHT. Our personal LIGHT. The good news is that LIGHT works like a snowball effect. The little that we do now in the LIGHT will build upon itself ... moment by moment ... until it becomes ever-expanding ... exponentially into infinity

The focus of this newsletter is grounding that LIGHT is simple.

Issue #1 touches on the awesome importance of what we concentrate on. As a society, many of we humans on EARTH today have been taught to put our attention on negativity. We are collectively encouraged to focus on negativity. This focus has created many problems for this small planet we call EARTH.

LIGHT TIMES reminds each of us that there is another way. LIGHT is another way. Focusing on LIGHT is not difficult; it is just different than what we've become used to. We all know what global problems face us, and it is not a pretty picture. However, we have been focusing on the problems for far too long. Our focusing on these problems has not solved them either.

Breathe


I am proposing that we change our focus -- our paradigm. Changing our paradigm from negativity to LIGHT is no small thing. Even the little that we do will bring amazing results!

Now ... I am not asking you to close your eyes to all of this stuff. No. Far from it. What I am doing instead is presenting something different. LIGHT. LIGHT is different. LIGHT is a wonderful solution because of its difference and because of what it has to offer. To get a glimpse of what LIGHT has to offer, you may choose to participate in the following exercise. This exercise can give us a sense of what LIGHT feels like.

LIGHT Exercise

(1) Make yourself comfortable.
(2) Close your eyes -- if you wish.
(3) Focus your attention inside your torso.
(4) Breathe.
(5) Relax.
(6) Find the spark of LIGHT within you -- yes, it's in there.
(7) Breathe into this LIGHT, your LIGHT.
(8) Notice how it expands.
(9) Breathe with it.

Notice what LIGHT feels like. It is a characteristic feeling. It is a simple yet powerful energy. This exercise can be done anytime.

Issue #2 emphasizes the importance of ki (our vital energy) and the Positive Energy Cycle. That is, the development of our ki and the directing of it into the Positive Energy Cycle. Doing this becomes an upward spiral that fills us up from the inside out.

To get a sense of this, let's start with ki. Following is a simple ki development exercise. It will do two things. It will assist us in identifying the feeling of ki and it will build up our ki.

Ki Development Exercise

(1) Lay down on your back.
(2) Flatten your back -- by doing a pelvic tilt.
(3) Relax and breathe into your back.
(4) There are ki reservoirs in your body. Two of these are the one in your lower abdomen and the one in your lower back. You can relax and breathe into each or both of these.

Notice what ki feels like. The ki development effects are cumulative. What we do now will add onto what we have done before. Ki development is excellent for our overall health. It increases our level of wellness. This is because it strengthens our systems from the inside out. (More about this later.)

Ki exercises are not the only way to build and develop our ki. They are especially helpful, though, for showing us what ki feels like. Once we know what ki feels like, then we can experiment with ways to develop it faster. One of these ways is eating and resting. Yes, food and sleep quickly raise the level of ki. Thank goodness for simplicity!

Our next step is to place our attention on the Positive Energy Cycle. Ki is our vital energy. Everything comes from it, because it is channeled into everything -- whether we are aware of it or not. The key is for us to use intention to direct this energy into the Positive Energy Cycle. Channeling our ki into the Positive Energy Cycle is a matter of intention and practice.

So ... once we have raised our level of ki, we can then practice channeling it into the Positive Energy Cycle. There is no particular Positive Energy Cycle Exercise for this section. Instead are examples of activities that support the Positive Energy Cycle. These activities bring our focus deep within ourselves -- thus, they support our inner core. These examples include any form of taking care of our bodies plus meditating, being in touch with nature, cleaning up our spaces, reading, and writing. There are many more examples. The point is that the chosen activity or activities support us from deep within ... support the Positive Energy Cycle.

What does this have to do with LIGHT? Ki, the Positive Energy Cycle, and LIGHT are all related. In fact, the focus of these newsletters is actually an internal one. It is an internal energy focus. Most of what we collectively have been taught to pay attention to has been an external focus -- almost to the exclusion of our internal selves. Working on the internal energy level tips the balance in our world.

A large purpose of LIGHT TIMES is to support the Positive Energy Cycle. This is large, because of the solutions that are intrinsic to it. Included in this support is simplifying the whole idea of energy and how we "do" energy. Absolutely everybody "does" energy (and all the time). One way to begin to simplify this process is to clarify negative energy cycles in general.

Very simply, negative energy cycles work by taking us out of our inner core. Addictions are an example of negative energy cycles. There are many addictions and they all do the same thing. They all take us out of our inner core. They lead us outside ourselves in some way. They will not support our inner core. No matter what. Addictions only support negative energy cycles. Without exception.

Our next step is to notice where our focus is at any given moment. Is it on someone else, something else, or on ourselves. Most of us have been taught to give our energy away -- to someone or something outside of ourselves -- and that if we don't do this we are being selfish, self-centered, or some other word intended to judge us negatively. However, it is preferable for us to practice focusing our attention inside our own skins, deep within us. There is a difference between being self-centered and keeping our energy in. Addictions stem from this focus of our attention away from ourselves. Please don't take my word for it. Notice for yourself where your energy is mostly -- within or without.

Some of us automatically channel our ki into the Positive Energy Cycle without thinking about it. These tend to be the people who are centered and grounded in their bodies. It doesn't take any forethought or effort on their part. It is a natural process that occurs on its own. One perfect example of these folks is children. Children have high ki. They generally tend to channel their ki well. They usually eat alot and sleep deeply, waking up with high ki again all ready to go.

Those of us who don't yet do this, do something else. We have learned to channel our ki into negative energy cycles. We usually do not do this on purpose. It is a habit we learned at some time in our lives. The good news (yes, there is good news!) is that the rest of us can teach ourselves to channel our ki into the Positive Energy Cycle (again). At first it will take effort, but after awhile it will become second nature.

Thank goodness for the good news! Channeling our energy into the Positive Energy Cycle takes practice. Living in negative energy cycles is simply a matter of practice. There has been an incredible amount of support for negative energy cycles. Thus, we have experienced many opportunities to practice those cycles. Most of us have become very proficient at this. However, to do something different also takes practice. It's really only a matter of practice and intention. That is really all it is. Yes, really.

To summarize, a way to differentiate between the two types of energy cycles is to notice how we feel. That is the key! There are clues that show us when we are in a negative energy cycle. Deep inside is a feeling of dissociation and separation. This feeling and other feelings like it are clues that show us we are channeling our ki into a negative energy cycle. Only the Positive Energy Cycle supports our inner core and thus gives us a feeling of connection. If we are feeling anything other than relaxed, comfortable, and content then the chances are that the ki is not being channeled into the Positive Energy Cycle.

Issue #2 reminds us to love ourselves and to love EARTH. (There really is no difference.) This is imperative. Negative energy cycles are not about self-love by any stretch of the imagination. They always take energy away from us rather than filling us up with energy. Any time we interpret addictions to be giving us energy, we are making a perceptual mistake.

The Positive Energy Cycle is a main point here. The Positive Energy Cycle is always about self-love. Always. The Positive Energy Cycle always gives us energy. Always. The Positive Energy Cycle always fills us up from the inside out. Always.

Furthermore, when we are in touch with our self-love, we take better and better care of ourselves. The more connected, centered, whole, and in touch we feel, the more we are naturally drawn to caring for EARTH and putting this caring into action. Loving ourselves, then, and loving EARTH are interconnected. There is no separation. So ... loving ourselves and loving EARTH are to be found within the Positive Energy Cycle. Not surprisingly, this is where LIGHT is. It truly is all connected. That interconnectedness is where the MIRACLES live.

We have come full circle:



LIGHT ---> KI ---> POSITIVE ENERGY CYCLE ---> LIGHT
