In Ed's Memory
1949-1999
A Baby, so beauitiful
To me the greatest thrill
So full of life and energy
You could not keep him still
He grew to be a soldier
A husband and a dad
He got along with everyone
Thought few folks were bad
His heart was big
He would not kill even a little bug
Thought every creature on this earth
Had the right to live and love
He worked for the railroad
as an enginneer
And I am very proud
of what he's done
Managing miles of railroad cars
up and down the hills
Is not an easy job for anyone
He loved to play music
And sing old songs for me
Loved history, computer games
And talked about the time
When he could buy a boat
And sail out to sea
Have a country home
And peaceful mind....
We miss him, ofcorse we do,
As ofcorse we must
But we thank god for all the years
That he was here with us
And there is somthing special
That I would like to say
The love I hold within my heart
Will never go away
I think about him often,
Dream of him at night
Tears come at odd times
When memories bubble through
I prey for him with all my heart
And with all my might
Then thank god for blessing him,
Just like I used to....

In Memories
-------------
In memories, on golden streets,
we walk together, hand and hand,
confronting the inevitable sunset.
The smell of the sea is thick in the air
and so your smile broader,
your eyes glittering
Rememberences of things close and warm.
The gulls sing and play in the sky
as they accompany us on our journey,
through the warm salt air
and down these golden streets.
Is there anyone elce here? I cannot tell.
You are the only one I see,
The only voice I hear.
The name which rolls over and over
in my mind,
playing a song whose sweet melody
laps like the waves upon the shore.
Haunting me, driving me mad,
driving me ahead, allways,
through the warm salt air
and down these golden streets.
The sea...ahead, shining like diamonds,
urging us on, calling to us..
to you, your ship waiting,
The thing you have most desired
all of the hours of your life.
My hand in yours, our thoughts
entertwined we walk forward
One to go, one to stay,
to meet again another day,
under this sky of radient blue,
I this warm sea air,
down these golden streets to
this glittering sea,
where a ship awaits it's captain.
So .. I stare into your eyes,
bluer than the sky, forgetting
all the hardships we've endured.
I let go of your hand
and step back into the sand,
as you leave me
in the warm air on the shore.
You smile..I cry..we wave goodbye,
although it's not the last time
we shall meet...I will not be alone,
for within my heart I own,
all that you were, or that I will ever be
