| In a world without dreams This is the sky. Bland and empty No colored birds that fly No multi colored streams We all would be the same in a world without Dreams. No one would want to be Different We'd all have the same dream. Some would see it as a game to be passively participated in. The goal? To be the same as our parent. If we did not dream, would we have a soul? Could we all be the same and stand it? Stand being just like Everyone else for every day of our life. Would kids dare hope of Santa Claus? To bring them toy cars or a kite with a rope. Or would they get what their parents got on that years Christmas Day? A hand down of a generation. Like a little plastic clown. If no one dreamed we'd all be the same No Britney Spears or Backstreet Boys With the gift to entertain. We would all want the same thing. And soon it would run out With nothing left but emptiness and doubt. Would that spark a dream? A barely thought of hope. Or would it soon be snapped in half just like a little boat. Would there be love? In an empty lonely world Or never known. Stopped before it grows. Who would want to live in a world like that? Not me. If I couldn't dream, if it wasn't allowed, I might go insane. Without a dream there'd be no world. Not like there is today, anyway. So Keep dreaming all you children Keep smiling all you girls Keep your dreams and hopes until The day they decide to come true. |
