| "Pull up a chair. Thanks for coming. I wanted to talk to you." "No prob. About what?" "Dreams, Life, Me. I want to show you who I really am." "I thought I knew." "You know the person behind my society facade. But I want you to see behind the mask I show myself." "Why do you hide from yourself?" "I'm afraid." "Of?" "Myself. I don't want to be hurt so I hide. I want you to know though. My dreams, my thoughts. The me I'm just discovering." "Okay." "I want to look back on my life in twenty or so years and see how much I've changed yet how much I've stayed the same." "I'm sorry. You lost me. What do you mean?" "Look at the stars. Aren't they beautiful?" "Yeah.They are. I haven't just looked in a long time." "I want to still be able to do this in twenty years. And still be awed by the massive beauty." "You don't take it for granted do you?" "No. I'm thankful for each breath. Thankful for my hopes and dreams. Wherever they may take me." "What are your hopes and dreams?" "Do you ever wish you could reach up to the sky and pluck a star to hold in your hand? Or dreamed you could wrap your arms around a big, fluffy cloud?" "No. Can't say I have." "I dream that all those stars are my dreams and one day I will be able to reach them." "You will. You have enough detemination for 10 people. I know you will." I want to sing and dance on a stage fpr the world. I want to tour with famous musicians and be they're friend or present an award to somebody famous or win a Grammy. Maybe fall in love someday and get married." "That's a pretty big dream." "It's several." "If you could have one dream come true which one would it be?" "The one that makes all the others come true." "Which one is that?" "I don't know. I mean, what if I becaome famous but I don't have anybody to share my happiness with? And what good is love without being able to have your dreams come true?" "Good point. You make me think. I like that." "But think about it. What good is a lifetime of happiness without love? And what of love wothout happiness. If I could see the future I would choose the one dream that would make everything else happen. But I can't so I don't know how to answer the question. Life is something we have to deal with though. Why should we judge what we are given and yearn for more. Why do we see ourselves through the standards of others. Or others through our standards. We need to get along to make a dream come true." "Yes. That's a very good point. I think that way too. You have enlightened me much to the woman beneath. I would love to stay but I must go now. I hope your dreams come true." |
