A man lay at my feet
from a fight I had won;
there was blood on my hands
and my hand held a gun.
Alone in my cell
I sat and I prayed.
My day came in court
and justice was weighed.
I ponder thoughts of sorrow
and hatred that my mind kindles.
I feel death in the air
and my sanity dwindles.
I'm waiting to die
and the days go by so slow.
Just the passing of time
Til it's my turn to go.
In a moment of rage
I caused that man's death;
and I murdered myself
when he drew his last breath.
