Today I received notice of a message left in the guest book of this site that is SO OUTRAGEOUS, I decided to change it from "Private" as the cowardly writer submitted it, to "Public" so that everyone can see the types of lies and deception the unethical, and brutal "medical personnel" who work inside prisons disseminate. You will find the unedited original Message #6 of the Guest Book of this site.

I then decided that this lowlife deserves a whole page of her own just to make sure this pack of lies and deception is available to those who don't think or choose to read the Guest Book, and so that everyone will be able to read the TRUTH as I disect this pathetic attempt to defend the indefinsable and deny the undeniable.

Since this creature was too cowardly to leave any identifying information, I will just call her Nurse Ratchett, since I'm sure she would feel right at home in "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest".

NURSE RATCHETT WRITES:

I do not know where the posting of this note will go- or if anyone will ever read it. I have reviewed these pages this evening and I am very upset about the lies on these pages. I hate to use that word because I know that is calling people liars, and I do not think they are lying- just to lie, but for some other reason-probably lawsuits. People try to get money anyway they can.

THE TRUTH IS:

You're upset because THE TRUTH hurts those who are supposed to be respected medical professionals and then have the light of truth shone on their COMPLETE lack of ethics, compassion and professionalism.

The fact that you think people lie for lawsuits says FAR MORE about you than about me. How many have YOU lied at, claiming that the murdered prisoners received good, compassionate care? How many medical files have YOU altered after the unnecessary death of some poor prisoner?

The fact is that my family DECLINED to file a lawsuit because doing so would not have TOUCHED those of you who are GUILTY of medical neglect, malpractice and deliberate indifference, but would have cost the innocent tax payers of the state of Arkansas. Both Larry Norris and John Byus smugly told us "you can always sue the state", because they KNEW it was no skin off their noses and would not undo the torture they had inflicted on my brother nor restore his life. We have NO ARGUMENT with the good people of Arkansas who have no control over the monsters employed by the ADC and CMS, and we see no reason why they should be required to pay for what they have no control over.

People try to get money any way they can, you said. You would be an expert on this issue, because ONLY someone who will do ANYTHING FOR A BUCK would work for CMS - which they claim means Correctional Medical Services, but I believe actually stands for Convict Murdering Services.

Yes, it's apparent that YOU will do anything for money, but my family and I have NO DESIRE to profit from Bud's suffering and death. Unlike you, we aren't interested in blood money.

NURSE RATCHETT WRITES:

What I want to say to anyone reading this- anyone who has a loved one in prison is that the medical care these people receive in prison is good and compassionate care.

THE TRUTH IS:

CMS orders its "medical personnel" to deny medical procedures and treatment to prisoners. Some are routinely unavailable to any and specific types of care for prisoners within a year of release and those who are terminally ill or condemned to death are forbidden by them to be provided by their employeesl. This is not only medically unethical, but also ILLEGAL. Nonetheless, it is standard procedure in all prisons in which CMS is the contracted medical provider. I am not guessing at this, but have been told this by former CMS personnel who will be testifying to this fact at the upcoming class action lawsuits on behalf of prisoners, against CMS.

Since when has good and compassionate care been defined by the dispensing of ineffective and out-of-date medications? What part of "good and compassionate" is routinely running out of prescriptions for diabetes, heart conditions and high blood pressure? How good and compassionate is it when a nurse has a terminally ill prisoner written up and disciplined for "verbal abuse" when they say "this is bullshit" when they're told their high blood pressure medicine refill is still not there after a week? I have the paperwork DOCUMENTING that this happened to my brother at the Diagnostic Unit. Is that "good and compassionate care", or is it "bullshit"?

You obviously have NO CONCEPT of what good and compassionate care means.

NURSE RATCHETT WRITES:

No nurse would ever talk to an inmate the way that has been stated on these pages. To do so would be to upset and alienate our patients. We are nurses here. Nurses that have worked in hospitals and cared for your family member and now we are doing the same behind bars. This is Gods work..caring sometimes for the people that no one else cares about.

THE TRUTH IS:

Nurses take a medical oath that every one who works for CMS betrays on a daily basis. Yep, most of them worked in hospitals, BUT THEY DON'T WORK THERE ANY MORE! Why? Because THEY CAN'T! Everyone knows that there is a critical shortage of nurses in the private sector, and the private sector pays MUCH BETTER than CMS does, because the private sector has STANDARDS OF PROFESSIONALISM that CMS doesn't. In fact, many of the "medical professionals" employed by CMS are licensed to work ONLY IN PRISONS! Many - my research indicates MOST - CMS "medical professionals" are working under restricted licenses due to drug addiction, sexual abuse of patients, mental illness and general unfitness. Some are not licensed at all.

THE LAST THING they worry about is upsetting inmates. They couldn't function at all in the private sector, and that's why they're "nurses here" - where they can be as lazy, brutal, inept and unprofessional as their base natures and the fact that they so smugly believe no one cares dictate. No, that's NOT God's work - EXPOSING IT is.

We joke with the inmates, but try to keep our professional distance at all times.

THE TRUTH IS:

Their idea of a joke with the inmates is laughing at their pain and death, and "professional distance" means as far away from sick prisoners as they can get.

NURSE RATCHETT WRITES:

I have read where one inmate was ties to the bed by ADC while he was dying- there was even a picture to prove it- but in the photo were the standard soft wrist restraints that are used on ANY vented patient that is restless of might pull his tube. It is for safety and not for punishment, and the ADC does not dictate medical care in a city hospital.

My brother was NOT restless at all. He was BOTH in a coma AND being administered a paralyzing drug to prevent him from feeling the agony they were unable to control with medications without arresting his breathing, and to prevent him from removing the venting tubing in the event he roused from his coma. The ONLY movements he made during the final two weeks of his life was when he lifted his face to heaven each time the water was sprinkled on his head when we had him baptised. There was NO medical need for the restraints.

No, the prison doesn't dictate the medical care provided in a city hospital. They just try to PREVENT as much of it as possible by refusing to sign for services requiring permission the patient is unable to provide. They refused to sign for my brother to be placed on a respirator and receive dialysis treatments, but my sister happened to phone the hospital when the doctor was with my brother and so he asked her for permission, and that's THE ONLY REASON my brother was afforded those treatments, since they required permission to implement. Had my sister not phoned when she did, my brother would have died on March 1 in excruciating agony because the doctors were unable to medicate him for pain without arresting his breathing.

What the prisons DO dictate is the SECURITY MEASURES under which the prisoner must be maintained - unless the security is deemed by the attending physician to be detrimental to the necessary medical care being provided - or the creative medical orders of compassionate doctors. The restraints on my brother were ordered removed by the WONDERFUL doctor who cared for him due to the fact that I begged him so fervently that he decided there was a medical necessity to remove them, and wrote a medical order to that effect. Just as he wrote a medical order for us to be permitted to take a CD player into the room so we could play my brother's favorite music in an attempt to rouse him and for every other harmless thing the ADC attempted to prevent us from providing to comfort us and him.

Prisons also routinely require female prisoners to be handcuffed to the beds in private hospitals while they're giving birth. Please enlighten us as to the protective medical need for that.

The meaness of these stories directed at medical staff in the prison is not needed. We are doing what we can to preserve the health of these patients.

THE TRUTH IS:

The TRUTH of these actual cases directed at sub-standard, unethical, brutal and unprofessional "medical staff" in prisons is ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY if it is to be stopped. And it MUST BE STOPPED! They do what they can to preserve the health of "these patients" within the realm of doing as little as possible, as cheaply as possible so that CMS can make billions of dollars a year off the suffering of prisoners.

NURSE RATCHETT WRITES:

You should have done what you could to keep them out of prison in the first place. If you were so caring and smart at home they wouldn't have traveled the paths they did to get here.

THE TRUTH IS:

These two lines tell more than any other about the quality of compassion and professionalism rendered by Nurse Ratchett! Where does this sorry excuse for a human being get off assuming we didn't do everything we could to keep Bud out of prison in the first place? How extraordinarily unprofessional and uncaring of her to be leaping to unfounded conclusions she's not qualified to make about people she's never even met. She obviously believes that only stupid and uncaring families ever contain criminals. If that were true her whole family would be locked up, judging it by her stupidity and lack of caring.

How stupid and uncaring does one have to be to assume that only people who have not been loved and cared for develop bi-polar disorder (manic-depression, which is caused my a chemical imbalance in the brain), and drug addiction? How is it that she's apparently never even heard of the AGONY perfectly normal and loving families endure as they watch someone they love become someone the don't even know, dealing with bi-polar disorder, and destroying their lives with drug addiction and its accompanying crimes?

How did this "sterling example" of medical professionalism manage to get a nursing degree without learning that becoming addicted to drugs changes peoples' personalities and erases the influence and ability of family and friends to help them?

In what dream world does this cretin believe that people can control their adult relatives' medical/psychological problems, lives and behavior?

If she's so smart and caring and apparently has some magic formula for curing bi-polar disorder and drug addiction why doesn't she share it with the world and save untold misery and death?

She is a PERFECT EXAMPLE of the ADC/CMS monsters who just can't get enough of torturing people and want to continue to abuse the innocent families after they've murdered the prisoners.

NURSE RATCHETT WRITES:

Now we are trying to care for people who have never cared for their bodies in any healthy way. They had drank and smoked and used drugs until they are sick with cancer, HIV, Hepatitis, tuberculosis, and liver failure. We do our best while trying to make sure that they are "faking" and trying to abuse the system. Does is surprise you that they would lie to us?

THE TRUTH IS:

Even REAL medical personnel who are competent, ethical and professional enough to work in the private sector routinely treat people who have never cared for their bodies in any healthy way. They also deal with people who have drunk, smoked and used drugs until they are sick with cancer, HIV, hepatitis, tuberculosis, and liver failure and have actually TREATED and sometimes CURED them rather than just taking Nurse Ratchett's attitude that they brought it on themselves, so they're due no compassion nor adequate medical care.

In addition, FEW if any of the REAL medical professionals actually INFECTED their patients with the HIV, hepatitis and TB from which they're suffering, and as we both know, MANY prisoners GET those diseases from their "medical care" in the prison infirmaries, if not from the infected prisoners with whom they're housed and who prepare their food.

CMS employees "do their best" within the realm of expending as little time, money and compassion as possible. About all they do is give people with extreme pain Tylenol - after they've assured themselves that the prisoners AREN'T (which is what I'm pretty sure Nurse Rachett actually meant to say), "faking it".

Indeed, it DOES surprise me that you think they would lie to you. It surprises me that you think they would let you within a MILE of them unless they were absolutely desperate with pain and fear for their lives. NOBODY would go to a prison infirmary unless they were absolutely desperate, because prison infirmaries do far more HARM than good. They are extremely dangerous places to go to for necessary care, let alone unnecessarily "faking it".

NURSE RATCHETT WRITES:

I knew bud tant too. No nurse hit him. That is crazy! What inmate would let us near them if they heard that?

THE TRUTH IS:

The reason Nurse Ratchett claims not to believe that no nurse hit Bud is because if she did know him, she knows that Bud was the last person you would expect to be abused. In prison he wasn't on drugs and he was the Bud we knew. He was sweet, charming, humorous, respectful, helpful and kind. He understood that he deserved to be punished for his crime and he took it like a man, and held no rancor nor disrespect for staff. That's the way we were raised - to understand that not following the rules results in consequences and that when you have it coming you accept the consequences as a natural part of life. Bud was liked by all who knew him. Everyone but Nurse Ratchett also capitalized his name.

Nonetheless, the fact is that Bud WAS hit by a nurse at the Diagnostic Unit. Three prisoners told me of the incident they witnessed with their own eyes and ears. Those prisoners were not friends of one another and none had any reason to make up a story they knew would add to our pain and grief. It happened alright. Because when he suffered bouts of dementia from the buildup of toxins in his brain, and didn't even know who or where he was he got on their nerves. The nurse DID hit him for spilling juice and say in the hearing of Bud and at least the three prisoners that she wished he would hurry up and die because he was a pain in the ass - just as surely as the guards knocked him out of his wheelchair and beat and kicked him, breaking his rib.

HIS OBVIOUS ABUSE at the hands of the staff of the Diagnostic Unit was THE REASON the doctors and nurses who cared for him at the community hospital came to the visiting room before they went home at the end of each shift and talked CRIED REAL TEARS with us. These were ICU medical staff who witnessed death and grief as a normal course of their work and we were amazed at the level of pain and compassion they demonstrated to us - because we didn't know at that time what THEY KNEW about how he had been wantonly and maliciously tortured while he was dying.

It's WHY his doctor over-rode every inhumane dictate the prison attempted to put on us; it's WHY he refused to release Bud back to the prison and WHY he promised us he wouldn't release him until an Act 290 for Bud's release was completed, if he had lived.

It's WHY two of the nurses who cared for Bud contacted us several months after his death - when they thought we could better handle it - and told us of the abuse he had suffered. His last words on this earth were cried out to them, as he begged them to help him because he was being beaten and abused at the Diagnostic Unit, and his words were backed up by the bumps, bruises and contusions on his 75-lb body. They encouraged us to file a lawsuit against the ADC and CMS and offered to testify for us. You KNOW how unheard of that is!!

The REAL medical personnel believed Bud because they saw the indisputable evidence with their own eyes and x-rays and heard his deathbed crying and testimony about what he was enduring. You can claim you don't believe it, but you and I both know that you KNOW it's true. If you really knew Bud, you KNOW he was not a whiner and that for him to cry and beg for help it had to be unbearable - so we both know it WAS!

Notice that she didn't even try to deny the beatings and broken ribs inflicted by guards. Where were all the CMS "professionals" while that was going on?

What inmate would let you near them if they heard Bud being verbally and physically abused by nurses? We both know the answer to that question is that ONLY inmates would let you near them and THAT'S only because THEY HAVE NO CHOICE! That's why you work with inmates - because NO ONE with a choice WOULD let you near them.

NURSE RATCHETT WRITES:

Don't set us up. Get a nursing license and come on to work.

THE TRUTH IS:

You set yourself up by being unprofessional, lazy, inept, brutal and uncaring. You set yourself up by being the type of medical profession rejects and unemployables CMS prefers to hire because you can't work for people who have a choice of providers, so you work cheap. You set yourself up by being willing to fail to provide care to sick people and being employed by murderers. Anybody who hires Michael Young and then promotes him to head "doctor" will hire ANYBODY. I don't want a nursing license. Never have, never will. But if I DID, I would be working for people who permitted me to provide care to my patients.

I don't need a license to know what goes on it prison infirmaries - I don't get all my information from prisoners. I get at least half of it from REAL medical professionals who quit their jobs in prisons because they were forbidden to provide adequate and timely care to their patients, and from doctors and nurses who have reviewed the medical files of some of the prisoners for whom I try to get adequate and timely medical care. Unlike you, I can speak openly, under my own name, and without fear of contradiction because I speak THE TRUTH!

The problem with idiots is that they assume everyone else is also stupid. I don't make the things up that I say. Everything I write on these sites is documented and provable in a court of law, so don't try to pee on my shoes and tell me it's raining.

Go read the medical oath you swore to uphold and then hang your head in shame. Spend your time trying to figure out how you're going to explain yourself to God, but don't bother lying to Him or to me. We already know what you do for a living.

You have a big dose of boomerang kharma coming, and when someone you love is suffering and dying in the ADC you'll be screaming the truth at the top of your lungs.

You're a selfish, evil, hypocrite, and are to nursing as night is to day.
