| KAPAMPANGAN IN 12 EASY LESSONS |

 INTRODUCTION I say, "There is something about Grace!" And you look at me and say, "What?" " She is Hiligaynon, born in Capiz." "Oh, so what?" "She is married to Jun who is Kapampangan." "That's all too common." "And then there is Emilia." "Who's she?" "An Ilocana from Batac." "Oh, she is from the opposite end, huh?" "Yeah, but that is not the point." "What about her, then?" "Well, she's also married to a Kapampangan." "Oh, but like I say, there is nothing unique in that!" "Except for one thing!" "What is that?" "Both are non-Kapampangans...." "Well, what then? I'm not a Kapampangan either, am I? I am a Waray from Samar, and...." ".....and they both learned to speak Kapampangan only from their husbands!" "Oh, now you've got a point here! I know now what you're getting at." "But wait, there is some more: ---- they are now perhaps even more fluent than their tacit husbands!" "Really, I'll be darn, you've got to be kidding!" "No, I ain't! It's the truth, buddy!" "You mean I can also learn the language just from my own wife, Daisy?" "Yup! Just try it and you'll see!" Folks, the aformentioned dialogue is a true story. Both are living proofs that substantiate my theory that, placed in a non-Kapampangan environment and with only one's Kapampangan spouse to communicate with in Kapampangan, a non-Kapampangan would learn to speak Kapampangan! Kapampangan is easy as pie! So darn easy that there have been a lot of cases in which non-Kapampangans learned the language only from their own spouses. Bicolanos, Pangasinanes, Cebuanos, Ibanags, Maguindanaos, Zambals, Tagalogs, etc. - they are all capable of learning it. In this course of study which I am offering to you for free as a service by the Kapampangan Cultural Heritage Society and the Akademyang Kapampangan USA, in both of which I am the president, you will be guided every step of the way through the "pattern method". I have arranged the lessons in such a way that learning will be easy and I am sure that you, the student, will learn to converse in Kapampangan in no time!
