KAPAMPANGAN IN 10 EASY LESSONS

The next patterns are:
a.) Verb - Subject-Object (merged pronoun)
b.) Verb - Subject-Object (merged pronoun) + Antecedent

Study the following:
Iquit que. - (Nakita ko.) I saw him/her/it.
Pengan que. - (Kinain ko.) I ate it.
Inugse que. - (Tinapun ko.) I threw it away.
Binasa que. - (Binasa ko.) I read it.
Linawe que. - (Tiningnan ko.) I looked at it.
Quinua que. - (Kinuha ko.) I got it.
Inos que. - (Inugas ko.) I washed it.
Leco que. - (Inalis ko.) I removed it.
Inalis que. - I moved it (to another place).
Inalben que. - (Pinanood ko.) I watched it.
Binuat que. - (Binuhat ko.) I lifted it/her/him.
Pequibatan que. - (Sinagutin ko.) I answered him/her.
Inuma que. - (Hinalikan ko.) I kissed him/her.

Now, create other sentences following this pattern by
just changing the verbs. You may use your dictionary
to accomplish this. Or just the glossary of words given
in lesson 1.

Now, study these:
Iquit que y Miss Garcia. - (Nakita ko si Miss Garcia.)
I saw Miss Garcia.
Iquit que y Pedro. - (Nakita ko si Pedro.) I saw Peter.
Iquit que y Maria. - (Nakita ko si Maria.) I saw Mary.
Iquit que ing pari. - (Nakita ko ang pari.) I saw the priest.
Iquit que ing gobernador. - (Nakita ko ang gobernador.) I saw
the governor.
Iquit que ing ilug. - (Nakita ko ang ilog.) I saw the stream.
Iquit que ing bunduc. - (Nakita ko ang bundok.) I saw the mountain.
Iquit que ing cabayu. - (Nakita ko ang kabayo.) I saw the horse.
Iquit que ing babi. - (Nakita ko ang baboy.) I saw the pig.

Do you notice that there is an added antecedent? When do you
use the article "y"? When do you use "ing"? If you forgot, go
back to a previous lesson and review that phase.

Now the following are of the same pattern, and we only change
the verb to another one. Read them aloud:

Pengan que. - (Kinain ko.) I ate it.
Pengan que ing biabas. (Kinain ko ang bayabas.) I ate the guava.
Pengan que ing ema. - (Kinain ko ang alimango.) I ate the crab.

Pengan cu ing sorbetes. - (Kinain ko ang sorbetes.) I ate the ice cream.
Pengan cu ing pansit. - (Kinain ko ang pansit.) I ate the noodles.
Pengan cu ing nasi. - (Kinain ko ang kanin.) I ate the cooked rice.
Pengan cu ing sigang. - (Kinain co ang sinigang.) I ate the....
Pengan cu ing arobu. - (Kinain ko ang adobo.) I ate the....

Create sentences similar to those above. Do you notice that we use
"cu ing" instead of "que" when the object is a bulk noun? For instance,
you can't count "nasi", but you can count "ema", can't you?
So you say, "que ing ema", but you say, "cu ing nasi".
