Daycare tip

The number of experience points a Pokemon goes up in the Daycare
is based on the number of steps you take from the time you leave a
Pokemon to the time you pick it up. If you want to speed it up, just
ride around using the Bike. Even if the Pokemon doesn't go up a level,
you still have to pay $100.

Easy money

Every time you fight the Eliet Four and Gary, you get a total of
around $30,000. Just beat the game over and over and you can build up
money very quickly. A easy way to do it is to get Mewtwo. Using
Psychic, when fighting the Elite Four, he can knock out almost any
Pokemon in one hit. Also, each time you use TM 16, Pay Day, on one
of the Eliet Four Pokemon you get $110. For example, if you use it
seven times, you get an extra $770.

Easy way to catch Mewtwo

Just use the Master Ball. You will always catch him if you use the
Master Ball on him, even if he hasn't lost any life!

If you don't have a Master ball, try this. First get a pokemon that can
put a pokemon to sleep such as Haunter's hypnosis. Then throw a ultra
ball at him. Get two just to be safe and you should be able to catch him.

Invisible PC

Go to Celadon City, and find the hotel were the guy say's that it is a
"people hotel" go to the top right corner till you hit the wall. Then go
down 2 steps and look up. then you press the A button and then there is
a invisible PC. Now use it!

Easy way to get a Kangaskhan

This is a easy way to get a Kangaskhan. to get him, first talk to the guy
in Veridian city that shows you how to catch a pokemon, then fly to
Cinnabar Island, surf to the right side of the island and surf up and
down so it looks like your half way on land. then you find should find
a pokemon named MissingNo at level zero. then use a rare candy on it
and it will evolve into Kangaskhan.

Get 99 master balls

First go to the man in Veridian city that shows you how to catch a
Weedle. Watch him and then arrange your list so that your master ball
is the sixth item on your list. then Fly to Fuisha and surf to Seafoam
Island. Don't get of the Pokemon. Surf so you are half on land and half
on water. Keep surfing until you encounter Missingno (a glitch). Run or
battle it but don't catch it. Once you beat it or run, Check your inventory
and you will have 99 master balls.

Win at the game corner

At the game corner, to have a sure chance of winning, go find the guy
who says "wins seem to come and go." Under him is a machine that is
out of order. Play the machine under this one and you will win a few times.

Get over 300 coins in the game corner

In the game corner you can get over 300 coins by searching every where
on the ground. When you come through the door go up to where the Rocket
guard is standing in front of the poster. There are some machines lined
up near him. If you search in front of here (by pressing A) you will find
100 coins on the ground. In other places you can find anywhere from 5 to
20 coins on the ground.

Easy way to catch Abra

Here is an easy way to catch Abra. First get a pokemon that knows wrap.
Then look for Abra in the grass by Nugget Bridge. Use wrap so Abra can't
move. Get his power low, and throw a pokeball.

Easy way to catch any Pokemon almost every time

Easy way to catch any Pokemon almost every time. Just use a Poke
Ball and as soon as it says "(your name) used Poke Ball" hold B and
Up. Keep holding until the pokemon is wobbling inside the ball, after
the second wobble, let go. If your timing's good the Pokemon will be
caught no matter how healthy it was! This works on any Pokemon.

Skip Brock

To skip Brock, do this. Press start to get the menu. Put the arrow on
Save. Press B. In Pewter City go to the guy who takes you to the door
of the gym. Try to get the menu up just before you start walking. If you
can press save and then turn off the game. Turn the game back on and
then the guy will take you to the gym again accept this time instead of
being just in front of you he will be a few steps diagonally from you. He
will end up on top of the girl who talks about Clefairys. After he leaves
you will probably find out he's not where he usually is so go through the
place where he was and continue on to Mount Moon. This code doesn't
always work!

Win at the Rocket Game Center

At the Rocket Game Center if you have Chansey as the only one in your
party, you will win at the slots. If Chansey is at level 50, you win 50%
of the time. Level 60 wins 60% of the time and so on. If you have a level
100% Chansey, you will always win.

Rare pokemon tip

If you encounter a rarer pokemon in the safari zone, such as Tarus or
Kangaskhan, do not throw a rock or bait or it will run.

Hidden rare candy

In Cerulean, go to the man's house that tells you about the different badges.
In his backyard, use your itemfinder; there is a rare candy.

Hidden items on cycling road

On cycling road use the itemfinder to find hidden items.

How to get Weedle in the blue version

Here's how to get Weedle in the blue version. Just go to Veridian Forest
and fight the FIRST bug catcher and run around without fighting the others
and you should find one.

How do you duplicate all of the items?

The first thing that you need to do is to put the item that you want
duplicated in the 6th slot on your item menu (by pressing Select,
then moving). Then go to the man in Viridian City that shows you how to
catch a Weedle. Let him show you how to catch it. Then, fly down to
Cinnabar Island. From there, surf on the left side of the coast by going
up and down (you should look like you are surfing half on land). You
should encounter a MissingNo, or a Mysterio. Run away from it then check
your item, and you got a weird symbol followed by a 9 or other number.
This is like 115 "items". If it doesn't work the first time, try it again.

How do you catch a Kangaskhan?

You need to get to what we all know and love as the Safari Zone. Here,
you can catch all sorts of nifty rare Pokemon that can be found no where
else! One of these is the elusive Kangaskhan-#115. This Pokemon can be
found on both the Red and Blue paks, so don't be discouraged if you don't
catch it at first. To get to the Safari Zone, you first need to be able to
get to Fuschia City. The easiest way to get here is to go through Routes
21, 20, and 19 from Pallet to Fuschia. You will need a SURFing Pokemon
to effectively perform this feat. Once in Fuschia City, go to the North
as far as you can. You will need a CUTting Pokemon for this one. Cut the
bush that is blocking your path, and then head north once again. You will
see a building surrounded on all sides by trees. Enter this building. As
you try to walk on through, a guy will stop you asking you for money so
you can play the Safari game. Say yes, if you really want a Kangaskhan,
and head on in. Immediately head north until you hit a fence, then head
east until you come to a wall of trees. If a wild Pokemon attacks you
while you are walking there, just run away. You will want to safe your
Safari Balls for the Kangaskhan. Head north again. When you see an opening
to another screen, go through it. From here, head east until you are walking
in a grassy area, where Pokemon live. Begin walking around and eventually
you will be attacked by something. If it is not a Kangaskhan, then run away.
If it is, then start chucking Safari Balls at it. It will eventually either
be caught or run away, if it runs away, just walk around some more. If you
run out of time before you catch one, just head back to the same place and
try again.

How to get Dratini

If you are having trouble finding (or winning) Dratini, go fishing in the Safari
zone in Area I. And if you do hook it, just throw Safari Balls at it. This also
works with other Safari Zone Pokemon.

Hint on trading pokemon

Before trading pokemon, make one game have a junky pokemon and the other
have a pokemon you want to duplicate. Then go to trade center and trade the
junky one and the good one. Then at the end of the trade after "waiting" and
before "trade complete," turn the game that use to have the good pokemon off.
The other game will say trade complete. Then turn the other game off, then
turn both back on. Both games should have the good pokemon and the junky
pokemon should be gone.

Tip on beating the gyms

Heres a tip for beating the gyms easily, first before you go to the first
gym, do a lot of fighting with the wild Pokemon get to level 10, then
fight every trainer on your way to the second gym, after you defeat
Misty, go to the cruise ship, get your beginning Pokemon up to level 36,
by defeating all trainers on the ship.

Tip on fighting Lt. Surge

When Fighting Lt. Surge and his Electric type pokemon, get cut first,
then use it on the pokemon. It usually kills them in one shot.

Increase the accuracy of any type of poke-ball

To increase the accuracy of any type of poke-ball hit down and B when
the ball leaves your hand.

Tip on raising levels

Raising the levels of Pokemon is easy if you know this trick. When you
get to Varidian City (the next city after Pallet town) buy a few poke'
balls and then go out through the mountain path to that grassy area.
Let your poke'mon fight and raise his levels. Capture any pokemon you
want and raise their levels too. If you get hurt just go back to the town
and go in the poke center. You'll get healed, and you'll have raised the
levels. This works very well until the pokemon get to level 10 then
try the next method.

Tip on raising levels for low level pokemon

After you have raised levels to about 10 and have gotten better pokemon
and gone though the game a bit, try this. If you want to raise a low
level pokemon quickly and also get ahead in the game, put the low
level poke'mon first in line. Then when the first enemy comes out,
you can switch pokemon to a stronger poke'mon and get hurt a little
then kill the enemy. You'll have gotten as many points for that one
pokemon switching out, as you did for the stronger one who beat it. If
there is multiple enemies in a fight, you can switch pokemon after you
defeat one and another is coming with out getting damaged. Then repeat
the switch to get more experience with little cost.

Get free Full Restores at Indigo Plataeu's mart/center

To get free Full Restores at Indigo Plataeu's mart/center go to the shop
area, and choose the Full Restore. Set the quantity to 20, but even though
it says $60000, when you choose yes you will get it all for FREE.

Get three TMs

On the top floor of the Celadon Dept. store there is a little girl who is
thirsty... Go buy some soda, water, and lemonade, talk to her 3 times
and give her one of the drinks each time. She will give you 3 TMs which
are very useful and will save you a lot of time trying to make you
pokemon learn them by gaining levels.

Get sailor

In the Cinnabar Island research lab, in the third door to the right, and go
talk to the guy to the right in that room. If you trade him a Ponyta, he
will give you a seel, knicknamed "sailor."

Cancel evaluation trick

If you cancel evaluation with most of the Pokemon that evolve by level,
they learn moves quicker.

Tip on Pokemon that evolve with stones

Pokemon that evolve with stones never learn most moves that
they would if they didn`t evolve so early.

Way to find the key to get to Blain's gym

On Cinnabar island the way to find the key to get to Blain's gym is
enter the building. Go up the first flight of steps and there is a room
above you and a gargoyle to the left of you go to the statue and
press A it will say "A secret switch!" and then it will say:"Press it"?
select yes and go to the room that is above you there should be stairs
take them you will see another statue. press the button. This lets you
have access to a new room! There is a scientist in there but you will
take him out after a few blows. He says "Why don't you start out over
there at the bottom of the screen there are two doorways go in the
one on the right and you will be in a room with two or three rows of
plants go to the stairs near them and they will take you to a huge
room go up and left until you see the last room and in there you will
find the secret key then you go to this guy near a switch press the
switch and go to the stairs that lead to the room of plants a door
should have opened and you take another doorway and it exits you
then you get to beat Blaine.

HM01 and HM02 locations (Red version)

HM01: You can find the cut ability in Cerulean City, go straight to the top
of the city near the house the police man is standing by. Then you go up
a pathway to the left and there should be 6 people up there that you
need to fight, and then go to the left, about 4 steps from the last guy
and then go straight up and when you are up there you should find the HM01.

HM02: The flying ability Celadon City from the pokemon center go
straight to the left until you hit the giant mart. Go down 8 steps then
go to your left. Go down that skinny road that road that you see. Then
you should come across a plant that you need to cut. Go up to your
left and then go to your left there will be one building. Go inside to
the other side and there will be a house straight to your left. Then go
inside the house and talk to the girl. Then she will give you HM02.

Turn an original pokeball into the master ball

You can turn an original pokeball into the all powerful master ball
by following this steps: Get into a battle (not a trainer battle), make
sure you have a good supply of pokeballs, throw a pokeball, as soon
as it says: "blank" used poke ball, hold the up button on the directional
pad and B button. When the pokemon is wobbling inside the ball, wait
until the second wobble then release the buttons. If you did it correctly,
the pokemon will be caught at any level or strength!! Odds in this
happening: 4 out of 5 times. NOTE: This only works with a regular pokeball!
You can use great balls or ultra balls but the odds are very slim.
Approx. 2 out of 5 times.

Ways to evolve Pokemon

There are three ways for pokemon to evolve:

1. Level - Most pokemon evolve when they reach a certain experience
level. For example, Caterpie will evolve into Metapod, and then to Butterfree.

2. Item - Other pokemon only evolve when a special stone is used on
them. When a Thunder Stone is used on Pikachu, it evolves into Raichu.
Fire, Water, Thunder, and Leaf Stones can be bought for 2100 at the
Celadon Dept. Store 4F. Moon stones are much rarer and evolve
special pokemon (Clefairy, Jigglypuff).

3. Trade - Four pokemon only evolve when they are traded. These
pokemon are:

Kadabra ------ Alakazam
Graveler ----- Golem
Haunter ------ Gengar
Machoke ------ Machamp

Many evolved forms of pokemon and some rare pokemon can be found in
the cave outside of Cerulean City. You can go there after becoming
Pokemon League Champion. These pokemon are:

Hypno, Sandslash (blue), Arbok (red), Ditto, Chancey, Raichu (blue),
Electabuzz (red), Electrode, Golbat, Venomoth, kadabra, Rhydon,
Dodrio, Wigglytuff, Seaking, Seadra, Slowbro, and Kingler. There
might be more, but I forgot.

Trading Pokemon warning

You may think that if you got gamelink cable that you'll be able to trade
your pokemon with a friend and then trade them back so that you're
pokemon will gain boosted experience. Think again. Your pokemon game
pak will be able to recognize pokemon that were originally caught on your
pak, no matter how pak the pokemon have been traded though.

Get all the starter Pokemon

It's possible to get all the starter Pokemon. To do this you need:
2 Linkable Game Boy systems
2 Pokemon games, any colors
1 Game Link Cable

What you will do is use one Game Boy as Pokemon storage and the other
Game Boy will be used for capturing Pokemon.

1. Start a new game with Game Boy A.
2. Go to Prof. Oak's lab and get Squirtle.
3. Go to nearest Pokemon Center and trade Squirtle to Game Boy B.
4. Start a new game with Game Boy A.
5. Repeat 2 through 4.
6. Go to Prof. Oak's lab and get Charmander.
7. Go to nearest Pokemon Center and trade Charmander to Game Boy B.
8. Start a new game with Game Boy A.
9. Repeat 6 through 8.
10. Go to Prof. Oak's lab and get Bulbasaur.
11. Go to nearest Pokemon Center and trade Bulbasaur to Game Boy B.
12. Start a new game with Game Boy A.
13. Repeat 10.
14. There should be 2 Squirtles and 2 Charmanders on Game Boy B,
so now trade one of each back to Game Boy A.

What to do with useless Pokemon

If you get a Pokemon that's completely useless when you first get it
(like Kakuna, Magikarp, or Metapod), go to Cerulean City and go south
to get to a guard station and a day care center. Leave one of the
Pokemon there until it has gained a lot of levels or until it evolves.
It will cost you money depending on how much experience the Pokemon
gets while in the day care, but it's worth it to be able to actually hurt
something with one of those useless Pokemon.

Eevee tip in Celedon City

In Celedon City, go behind the mansion and find the secret door. Once
you're inside, go up the stairs and get the PokeBall on the table. Inside
the PokeBall is an Eevee, which can be evolved into any of three types
of Pokemon depending on which stone you use on it. A thunder stone
will give you a Jolteon, a fire stone will give you a Flareon, and a water
stone will give you a Vaporeon.

Struggle move

When a pokemon has run out of pp's for all of it's moves, It will then use
a move called "struggle". It's a move similar to "take-down" or
"double-edge" only weaker.

Pokemon that you can only get from trainers

There are many trainers who you can trade with, but there are five
certain ones where you get special pokemon only from them.

Location: Cerulean City, He will trade Jynx for Poliwhirl. Jynx is
nicknamed "LOLA".

Location: Vermilion City, He will trade Farfetch'd for Spearow.
Farfetch'd is nicknamed "DUX".

Location: Route 18, He will trade Lickitung for Slowbro.
