| Transport on the Island is "No Problem" The residents make use of the public bus service to get around. From Port Louis you can take a bus in any direction through the Island at an amazingly low cost. The bus trip from le Capitaine to Port Louis city costs only nine rupees. The buses run about every half hour. This is the cheapest way to get from one place to another and the local residents are always willing to help you with directions. |
| Car Rental |
| Rental prices are very reasonable, and there is no chance of getting lost and you will get used to the Mauritian way of driving. Drivers must be in possesion of a drivers license valid for one year. |
| Taxi Service |
| These are in abundance, but can be costly. The drivers are always willing to discuss price and come to a compromise with you. |
