| All passengers should be in possession of a passport which is valid for 30 days longer than your stay in Mauritius. A Visa is not usually required but please confirm this with your local travel agent. Customs - Duty free facilities exist for passengers arriving and departing from Mauritius. The airport is situated some 40km from Le Capitaine. The airport staff are friendly and most efficient. Your air-ticket will have to be re-confirmed 72 hours before the departure date. Please ask your host to do this for you. On departure 300 Rupees airport tax is payable per passport holder if this is not included in your ticket. Airport transfer can be arranged with your host at Rs 450-00, alternatively Taxis are in abundance. There is a bus service that runs to most villages until sunset.
