| Lead Fist 1996-1997- The first incarnation of Lead Fist, Joe, Jon, and Spencer forms. They can't play instruments. The songs they write in 2 minutes(5 songs for 2 minutes) all suck. They call themselves Electric Myth. 96-98- Over the next few years, Electric Myth's name is changed to Nature's Demons. Jon learns guitar and bass, Spencer learns guitar, and Joe learns drums. Spencer asks Jack, a guy who he and Joe know, to join the band as a bassist, even though he plays upright bass. The lineup is Spencer on vocals and guitar, Joe on drums, Jack on bass, and Jon on guitar. They never play together once. 1998-1999- Spencer kicks ass on the fretboard. Jon keeps exploring weird-ass tunings. Joe smacks the skins like never before. The band is not sure about Jack though. They hadn't talked to him for a year. Despite the uncertainty of Jack's membership, the three guys decid they should still try to be a band. The trio gets together one day to jam. Not much happens, and nothing musical is accomplished. After a bit, another mutual friend of Joe's and Spencer's, Edward, becomes interested in joining the band. He is asked to join the band as a keyboardist, though he only has a crappy amateur keyboard. After reading Marilyn Manson's autobiography, Spencer decides that a member does not need to play music to entertain, so Spencer asks Ed to do crazy crap(such as eat chocolate) until he got a real keyboard. Now that the band's line-up is established, the group wants to play. Spencer picks up his new name, Katherine from Kathy Ireland and Ted Kacynzki(read below). Another guitarist, Ricky, joins. Ricky isn't that great, but Katherine wants a third guitarist in the band, so he doesn't have to play guitar very much, and concentrate more on vocals. Katherine gives Ricky a new name, Flippy, after his middle-finger-happy habits. Though Edward had already been named DeDward(by Katherine), he decides he needs a stranger name, so Katherine names him "the Corpse of Captain Cruel(aka Donut)" in an instant. Katherine, Flippy, Joe, and Donut get together to play some music. Despite the police claiming that the group had placed a phony call to 911(we're still not sure where he came up with that, 'cause we didn't call them), Donut disconnecting a phone call(several times) with a friend of the band, Joe playing too loud, and a little stroll at three AM to that friend's house, the band manages to get a bit of practicing done. They are scheduled to play "Paranoid" by Black Sabbath at a party on June 13th, but Flippy has no idea how to play it. Katherine shows him the riff, and he's been making progress on it. Um, sort of. On the 11th of June, Flippy, Joe, and Katherine get together at Katherine's house to practice one final time. It sounds like crap when Flippy played along(he hadn't been practicing too much), but when it's only Katherine and Joe playing, it sounds pretty good. When the remote to the TV was missing, Katherine decides to call Donut on the phone and ask him where it was... He's right, too! Later that night, Katherine calls Joe "6pack"(for a reason that is no longer remembered), giving him his new name. Katherine and Joe don't remember how they got upstairs either... June 1999- The "Paranoid" performance is cancelled because Katherine's guitar shorts out. It's fixed in a couple weeks by the fine folks at Ron Busch Guitar Studio. Many thanks, Chuck. September 1999- No one really knows where Jack is, and he's kicked out, even though he doesn't know it. Member Bios Katherine K. Katherine K. picked up his name from supermodel Kathy Ireland and notorious disturbed genius, the Unabomber, Ted Kaczynski. He chose the two people because they were underappreciated and underestimated as to what they could be. Katherine identified with the two characters and adapted the names as his own. He comes from divorced parents, who he despises greatly for several reasons. His interests/hobbies include Aleister Crowley, Charles Manson, Anton LaVey, Friedrich Nietzche, Satanism, Christianity, poetry, music(of course), and movies. He is a follower of no particular religion, believing that all should be left to find out what they believe, not to be told or to be influenced by outside sources, such as parents and peers. He, as well as the other members of the band, lives in St. Louis, Missouri. 6pack I live in St. Louis, Missouri like Kathy said. I got my name cause up where he said. Basically, i drum and drum like hell baby. i cant think of anything else to say...oh yeah. I like Zombie(Rob and White), Manson, Coal Chamber, Fear Factory, old Offspring, anything heavy that makes a statement. My body temperature is actually around 96 degrees, so my body is a lot cooler. I can tombstone Flippy and Donut. I have the same thoughts on religion as Kathy, so... FLiP Yes it is I yours truly FLiP! I like the whole band live in St. Louis MO. Basically i am the strings. I strum, i strum hard!! People say that i drum way to hard well that is there problem because it sounds heavy as hell and I am just as hot. (This sounds like some porno comercial[6pack and i are hotter than kAtHeRiNe!!]) I recently sold my crappy Ibanez and bought a Ibanez Seven string and for you people out there who are hesitant on getting one, don't be! They are awsome and nice and heavy!! I like KoRn, old Offspring, Limp Bizkit, dope, Slipknot, Staind, Videodrone, Black Sabbath, some Insane Clown Posse, Rage Against the Machine. I love music. And i hate Country and rap (ICP is considered Alternative and even if they are rap i don't care they are funny, and also Limp Bizkit is not rap they are heavy metal if you wanna go that way they are maybe hip hop but they are not rap. And for anyone who thinks KoRn is rap or hip hop, there is something wrong with you!!) My hobbies are: Watching TV, going online, Listening to music, updating my music site (http://www.maxpages.com/muzik) Playing guitar talking on the phone, i like to read (something cool no crap it always seems school makes me read a whole lot of crap!!) and haning with my friends. |
