Biography

Brian S. Bentley was a Los Angeles Police Officer for ten years. He is the author of three books titled, One Time: The Story of a South Central Los Angeles Police Officer and Hit Me Once, Hit Me Twice and Honor Without Intergrity.

Bentley is a native of Los Angeles and a graduate from the California State University of Los Angeles with a degree in Communications and a minor in Journalism. He was a track standout in high school and college where he ran the 400 and 200 meters.

Bentley was one of the rare LAPD officers who worked in the community where he lived. Brian S. Bentley received numerous commendations from the Los Angeles Police Department for performing over and beyond the call of duty. Bentley left the LAPD in 1999. During that time, he was without a doubt, a hard-core ghetto cop. His straight forwardness and sense of righteousness transcend from the streets of LA into his novels.
