As the team grew older they became Langney Village Football Club their home on the Recreation Ground. Langney Village competed in the Eastbourne and District League finishing 6th in their first season. The next season saw them finish third, and win the Division Two cup, as well as drop the "Village" within the title. In 1970 they became Langney Sports Football Club and in 1971 started playing at Princess Park.In the 1973-74 season they won their division, whilst the following year saw a runners up spot in the premier division of the Eastbourne & Hastings League, winning the title in 1982. The club moved to their present Priory Lane site in 1983, and joined Division Three of the Sussex League winning the Intermediate Cup in 1986, and the Eastbourne Challange Cup in 1986, and 1987. They gained senior status and won the division in their first season by eleven points. Langney Sports have had a successfull Division One history finishing in the top half of the table at all times, coupled by some interesting and good Vase and Cup runs. Ground improvements have gone hand in hand with on the pitch progress, and a climb into the Southern League is expected this coming season. A visit to the ground is recommended, they have an excellent new social club, wonderful tea bar and a well stocked club shop selling a host of articles, as well as programmes.
