easyjet, my favourite low cost airline, now have a regular e-mail service. It seems that every 3 months they have a sale (most flights between £35-45). However this offer is only open about 3 days, so you need to be quick. You must register with easyjet at http://www.easyjet.com

KLM UK launch Buzz a new low cost airline. I've usually found flights via lastminute.com to be cheaper e.g. Manchester-Dusseldorf £80. We'll wait and see.
The cheapest way to fly from the UK is normally using one of the no frills airlines such as easyjet. I give a comprehensive list of airline websites below. I have flown easyjet(Liverpool) to: -
geneva February 1999 £47 return incl tax
madrid November 1999 £60
barcelona December 1999 £80
amsterdam October 1999 £40, cheaper than KLM
nice August 2000 £130, more expensive in the summer
geneva March 2001 £45,
geneva is superb for a skiing holiday. If you book accommodation through French company - it cost me £175 for a family apartment for a week - a short walk from the main ski lift in Megeve an up market resort although a little low only one hour from Geneva by bus .
The easyjet service is very good. No delays on 13 flights so far, a one hour delay for the first time coming back from geneva.
If I was flying on business I would be happy to use easyjet every time. If it was my business I would insist everyone uses easyjet.

Flights on a Tuesday and Wednesday are much cheaper than a Friday/Saturday. Use the internet to reduce the cost of travel!
To obtain such a low fare you need to spend time on their web site to check the prices, the site gets better and better.
easyjet - excellent site £5 reduction if you book online
very interactive. Easyjet
If easyjet doesnt fly there then try lastminute.com who have some very good offers and you can book ONLINE. KLM UK have some good offers. Another useful source is the Freeserve company - register and they will send you some interesting last minute offers - BUT you CANT book online, so the offer may not be available when you contact them. Bargain Holidays
ryanair has some very cheap flights. Unfortunately they only fly to a selection of destinations from dublin and stanstead. The other catch is like go you have to stay two nights in order to obtain the really cheap fares. Also they advertise very cheap flights for £1, £9 or £19 that are only available mid week. Still better than BA and worth a look, you can book ON LINE Ryanair
KLM - have some good offers and have flights from Manchester, should improve with Buzz KLM

Business Class
aer lingus - lowest cost premium service via Dublin to chicago (nearly half the American Airline ticket). Who would complain about a one hour stopover in Dublin to sample the black stuff. Good service to Chicago, New York and other destinations Aer Lingus
American Airline - expensive but if the company is paying their first class is the best I've ever sampled American
Lufthansa - have an interesting auction every few months, but no advance notice Lufthansa
Virgin - First class reputed to be far superior to BA and includes a limousine service to the airport. I took a flight to Antigua December 1999 baggage class that was good. My daughter received an impressive rucksack with a number of clever freebies Virgin Atlantic
United Airlines - just flown to Melbourne to watch the last two Rugby Union British and Irish Lions test matches. I was told the flight was via Los Angeles (all the usual flights were full due to 15000 Brits flying over to watch the test series.) They didnt tell me that the flight also stopped in Washington were we had to check our luggage through customs and also Auckland!! A 35 hour trip. Not for the BV sufferers (blocked veines thrombosis). Service was average for a long haul flight.
British Airways - World offers In my experience offers are never as low as quoted and the final price always leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Nearly always cheaper to go via a travel agent, that has the good feeling of reducing BA's profit. http://www.british-airways.com/Woffers/
