Kouga Information The meaning of "Kouga" in English can be directly translated as "Steel Fang" given the text it is used in. Kouga is the young leader (I'm guessing he must be around two hundred, Inuyasha is around that age and I can see them being in the same age group. Two hundred is young for a demon anyway.)of his tribe of wolf demons (The Yourouzoku). He kidnapped Kagome after finding out that she could see the sacred jewel shards or the 'Shikon no Kakera' (The whole jewel would be 'Shikon no Tama'). Later, after Kagome saved Shippou and not herself, Kouga chose Kagome to be his mate due to her bravery and her skills as a priestess. Kouga and his tribe were enemies with the birds of paradise (The Gukurakuchou) but with help from the Inuyasha gang (Miroku, Inuyasha, Sango, Kagome, Kirara, Shippou.) was able to defeat them. New enemies had arisen, Kagura and Naraku, whom had tricked Kouga's comrades and murdered them in order to get to Kouga's sacred jewel shards. Thus, now he and two of his remaining comrades, right hand man Hakkaku and Left hand man Ginta, hunt Kagura and Naraku down to avenge their fallen kin (Every once in awhile meeting up with Inuyasha and co. of course. ^^). In the anime Kouga has a fiancee who first appears in episode eighty three; her name is Ayame. Though, Kouga denies remembering his promise to marry her, in episode eighty four he shows signs that he was only saying that he didn't remember for Ayame's safety (Aw...how sweet! ^^). However, this is only in his mind, no one else hears this silent confession of the heart. Inuyasha Information The name "Inuyasha" technically means 'female dog demon', however, over time the meaning 'yasha' has changed to be more unisex; making Inuyasha 'dog demon'. Inu= dog and the more frequently used yasha=demon. Some believe that Inuyasha is only a nickname that the boy gained over the years; this is mainly because it sounds like such an unusual name. However, in movie three, soon after Inuyasha is born, his father tells his mother, Izayoi, that their child will be called Inuyasha. Sadly, only a little while after, he fights in a battle against a human; both he and the human die. Inuyasha is a hanyou, half dog demon and half human. In his life he faced much danger and sadness. He never knew his father and his mother died when he was young. When he was around one hundred fifty years old (Most people believe him to be much younger, though there are parts in movie three that clearly state different.) he met a priestess named Kikyou whom he grew to love. One day, Kikyou and Inuyasha were set against one another, each believing they were betrayed, thus Kikyou died from wounds she had gotted from the fake Inuyasha, but not before she sealed the real one to the sacred one hundred year old tree (The Goshinbuko). Fifty years later he was awaked by Kikyou's reincarnation, Kagome. He found out that he and his past love Kikyou were tricked by a demon called Naraku. He and Kagome search for the lost shards of the shikon with their friends, Sango, Miroku, and Shippou, as they search for the shards they searched for Naraku all wanting revange. Inuyasha wished for jewel to become a full demon, and he wished Naraku's death to avenge Kikyou's. As the series continues, Kagome and Inuyasha find themselve falling for one another, but as Kikyou is resurrected, Inuyasha can't seem to forget her. Kagome Information Kagome's name can be translated into 'Bamboo Wave', however, when Takahashi-sensei made the series, Kagome's name was taken from the song 'Kagome'. Kagome is a fifteen year old girl whom just come upon the well by coincidence. (More will be added later; however, must eat food now! n_n)
