Are you afraid of it???

Common fears like spiders, snakes, insects and heights are the most common phobias people can quickly recall, but are you afraid of dying?
What will it be like?
Will there be an afterlife?
Do you believe in God and heaven?

Also, how will you die?

Will you die from:

Strangulation:- What with?
Drowning: Where?
Getting shot: By what gun, where and why?
Getting stabbed: By what implement, where and why?
Electric chair: Where and why?
Old age: At what age?
Dying from an accident: What mode of transport hit you, if any, where, when and how?
Committing suicide: Will you have the guts? If so, why did you. Was life too stressful?
Overdose: Where, what tablets and when?
Wrong kind of injection in hospital: How, why, where and when?
In a fire: Why, where, when and how?

Lots of questions that are to be answered. The main one though is, at what age and how will I die.
There are different ways of dying as shown above, but which is the worse?

Drowning? Knowing you can't get up to the surface of the water and you need air?
Suffocation? Someone stuffs your head on a pillow, and you desparately need air, but your neck muscles are not strong enough to pull up again?
Shooting? Knowing some mad man has a gun to your head?
In a fire? So hot, you know you can't get out and the burns are incredibly painful?
Buried alive? Chlostrophobic, not much oxygen left and they bury you thinking you are dead, but no matter how loud you scream or how hard you bang, no one will ever hear you?
Poisonous gas? Trapped in a hall full of sulphur dioxide and you cannot get out and you know you are going to die?

I don't know. It is your decision.
A rough age of when you are going to die is around 74 years for men and 81 for women, but by 2020, they hope the average age to be 90 and 100 is easy to reach!
When are you going to die of old age, providing you do not get knocked down etc earlier?
Find out:- go to the death clock website published at the end of this page, type in your details and count the seconds down. Seems a long while, but with those seconds there, time is precious and is going down, FAST!!!

People also think of death as being the end:- that's it, no more. You had a life and now- no more world. You have to imagine it for it to hit you hard and even I have cried over it when I have thought about it for a long enough time. Is it all that bad, if you
die in your sleep and when you are dead, you don't know that you are, just like when you were in your mother's stomach?

Not only is it your own death that scares people, it's others aswell. What if a close friend, class mate, relative, mum, dad, or brothers or sisters die, standing there by their bed side in hospital seeing their life support machine go down to 18 beats per minute (normal=72 beats per minute), and you know they will not recover. I have had that experience- nasty!
You come back, and the beats per minute flicker from 0, 1, 2 and 3, drawing almost a straight line on the life support machine.

Think about it, life is precious, have fun in your life while you can. As far as I'm concerned, there is only one life, but lets hope I'm wrong!!!

People dying in my family:
Grandma:- died 1992 had a massive heart attack, then possibly had brain damage due to the lack of oxygen and died.
Grandad:- died 1998, had 1 stroke in 1994, then in 1998, he had another one, fell down whilst going for the light switch, bashed his head on the corner of the washing machine, his head bled. Went into hospital, head better- he had pneumonia meaning every time he swallowed, the saliva went down into his lungs and he died two days later, drowning in his own fluid (18 beats per minute story)
Grandad:- died 1999, went in for prostrate trouble, routine check-up, ended up in hospital, cause unknown, he was fine, predicted out within a year, hospital had a virus, he caught the hospital bug and died.

I still have a great grandma though, but no grandads anymore! Great Grandma is called Ada Daniels and is 94 years of age. Her aim is to reach 100 years old and get a telegram from the Queen!
