Revive the Old Vineyard Tree

To start this trick of, during the first spring, you must try to fall in love with Karen. On the last day of spring pick a grape from the mountain, go to the bar, and you shoud see Karen yelling at Kai about the Vineyard and her father. After Karen storms out of the bar head over to the bar tender who has been watching in silence. Give him the grape you got from the mountain earlier that day. He will reward you with a bottle of wine called the "Doorway to Heaven," which he was supposed to give to you after your father died(or that is what he says.) The bottle will stay in your possessions.

Now when ever you have the time go to the cave sprites and the shold say something either about the "Doorway to Heaven" or about Keifu Fairys if they know how to speek english. Eventually they will say someting like," You should talk to the spring goddess about the wine." If you have some crops grown throw one in the middle of the pond and the Godess should appear. She will ask you if you want to go to the Vineyard with her. Say yes.

You and the Godess wil then appear at the Vineyard in front of the old mangled tree. The Godess then commands the tree to awake saying the it has been asleep for twenty years. The tree will explain the reason why the Vineyard has been doing so bad saying the Keifu Fairies have left and they are the beings that make the wine tast so good. The tree then says he will find the Fairies. That is when you depart to your house.

Now after going to bed sometime in the summer you will have a dream with the Godess hoovering above your head. She will say the Keifu Fairies have come and there will be many harvests at the Vineyard. If you go the the next day you will see every one who lives at the Vinyard working in the field including Karen and her mother. Thus, solving the crisis situation at the Vineyard.

Hidden Apple in Winter

In the Winter of Harvest Moon, go to the little area next to Moon Mountain when you first enter and then go directly to the little frozen pond on the right side. Take out your Hammer and smash up the huge boulder and recieve an apple which is an excellent source for protein in the game. The boulder grows back each day too!

Best Ending

To Get the best ending you must have completed all of these conditions:

All house add-ons
Over 5 friends
Married to Karen
Have a baby
Ship something every day (find stuff in the forest)
Have 3 cows (one has to have been born in your farm)
Have 3 sheep
Have 5 chickens
Have no livestock get sick more than twice.
1 cow must produce Special Milk
1 Sheep must have Quality Fur
No livestock have died
Dog must have won dog race
Horse must have won both horse races.
You must have all power berries
You must have won in each festival
You must have played at the Spirit Festival
You must have helped build the bridge and the Spa
You must have a good grass field
You must have many crops and flowers growing
You must have found all the recipies
Kinda Harsh to do ALL these things ;) :0
But....The best ending reveals a special secret!!!!!!!

Free Medals at Dog/Horse Races

OK, first, make sure that you get to the race before the first one starts. I usually get there at 8:00, when it opens. Also make sure that you come with plenty of cash. OK, here's how you do it. Note: This is NOT how to cheat to win the races, it's a cheat to get lots of medals.

Go to the Mayor's wife.
Bet 99 medals on each dog/horse.
Once you've bet 99 on the last dog/horse, hit B twice, exiting you out of the window.
DO NOT TALK TO HER AGAIN UNTIL THE RACE YOU ARE BETTING ON IS OVER.
As long as you don't talk to her, you've bet 99 medals on each dog/horse without using any money. You can also do this with any amount of medals.

Cliff and Ann

This is a cool trick that will also have newlyweds amoung Flower Bud Village. On the 18th of Spring, a stranger will appear and ask you for food. Give him a vegtable. His name is Cliff. If you wish for this to work, do not date Ann but visit Cliff almost everyday in the woods. He is in the Carpenters Hut on rainy days. Give him foods and be nice to him. Also, during the second year, join him at the Spirit Festival if he asks.(You must by the Orcainia at the shop.) Soon he will invite you to his wedding.(This is why he says never mind whenever you talk to him). He will marry Ann and eventually have a child.

Tips for Animal Care

Cows & Sheep

Before you do anything buy a brush. Then, grab tons of wood and place it like this: (w=1 peice of wood)

Then hoe the land inside the fence and buy enough grass to fill up the squares. After that, buy enough feed to last 7 days and brush and talk to your cows and sheep every day. When the grass is fully grown, put your sheep or cows outside unless it's raining and remove 2 peices of wood and after your animals are in there put the wood back.

Chickens

Easy. Leave them inside and keep a lot of chicken feed on hand. Brush them every day.

In the third year of summer on the first your dad will come and see how your doing. He talks to every body in town. Here is what they talk about.

The Midwife tells about your status with the girls
The Poppuri's Father talks about your grass field
The Fisherman talks about how much you fish.

Also make sure you have some friends (I only had the mailman come besides my wife) and a log terrace.

Give flowers to Stu in exchange for a marble. Give the marble to the cave sprite
Buy it for $1000 from Samuel the con man at the spring festival
Win the egg festival for the first time
Become friends with Basil (Popuri's father) and he will come to the farm and give one to you.

Spring Goddes Trick

For this trick to work, you have to have a chicken who is producing eggs. Go in and grab the egg in the chicken coop. Put in you're rucksack. Next head for the mountains. Go towards the carpenter's house. Go left to the little part that has a small lake and a stream going down. Take the egg out and go to the bridge. Face the lake and throw the egg in. A woman will apear and give you one wish. You can now choose different weather, extra strength, or extra love towards one girl.

Super Cow - The day before the owner of the green ranch comes to ask which cow you want to enter Kent the blonde haired kid will tell you which one to enter and listen to him because it might win. If your cow wins at the cow festival it will prduce Special milk. You can sell it for 500 G.

Verryberry Wine Recipe: Give Wild berries to the worker on the farm in the second year.

Herbal Soup with Spices Recipe: Give Normal Herbs to the Potion Shop Owner.
Lemon Fried Bass Recipie: Give large fish to Karen's sister (the wandering woman. she's usally at the beach, the bar, or near the carpenters house.)
Miso soup with Sprouts Recipie: Give normal herbs to the Potion Shop owner.

Moon Mountain Trick

This is a trick to get up to Moon Mountain before the bridge is even built. Here you will find Popuri on the starry night. It is really simple all you have to do is go to the big tree behind the carpenter's house and press the A button. To get down from Moon Mountain you simply walk up to the edge of the cliff just above the cave opening and the computer should automatically jump off for you.

Elf House

This trick is very simple all you have to do is go in the cave and if you look around the cave you will see a triangular crack in the wall go up to the crack and press the A button you should now enter the "Elf House".

Girl Choice at the Flower Festival

Okay, now, if you like a girl in the game, (Karen, Popuri, Maria, Ann, Elli) and you want her to dance with you to boost her heart rating.(Indifferent, nice, flirt, liking, in true love.)You think it's a good idea to vote for her as the Princess, but if you want her to like you more, vote for the girl 2nd on your list. At the festival, when you ask someone to dance, you can't dance with the princess, because she has to dance with the mayor. Now you ask your best girl!
