| This page is a new addition in my site. "The Hobbit" was published in 1982 by J.R.R tolkien. ( One of my favorite authors.) This page is all about his books: The Hobbit, The fellowship of the rings, The two towers, and The return of the king. |

| The Hobbit.... This book is the prelude "The lord of the rings" if you dont read this book first, you wont get the trilogy at all. The Hobbit is an adventurus story with Dragons, monsters, giant spiders, wolves, and goblins. One little Hobbit will go out into adventure along with thirteen dwarves and a wizard. Bilbo Baggins (the hobbit) is smaller then a dwarfe and is not the adventure type even though he has a bit of Tookin blood in him, (the adventurous type of hobbits) its amazing what a little hobbit can do! What the heck are Hobbits?....Hobbits are little people, smaller then dwarfs. They love peace and quiet and good tilled earth.They don't like machines, but they are handy with tools. Hobbits are fast on their feet but hate to rush things. They have sharp eyes and ears. They are inclined to be fat. Hobbits wear bright colors, but seldom wear shoes. They like to laugh and eat six meals a day, and drink. Hobbits like partys, and like to give and recieve presents. They inhabit a land they call Shire. A place between the river Brandywine and the Far Downs. The fellowship of the rings.... In this book Bilbo and his addopted son Frodo each have a birthday. Frodo has his twenty-second birthay and Bilbo has his eleventy and one. Or in our language, one hundred and eleven. Both birthdays are very important. When you turn 22 in Shire you are considered an adult, or the coming of the age in hobbiton. When you turn 111 you will be the great leader of the city. Like I said, both are important. They have a big celibration with EVERYONE. Gandalf, the wizard from the first story and all the dwarves come. Gandalf presents a magic ring to Frodo, the one Bilbo found the caves. But sooner or later some bad guys find out who has the magic ring and goes out to hunt Frodo down. There will be information on the rest of the series soon, so keep checking up. (I just have to finish reading all the books first!) |
