Well ok. I think I'll finally do this page. I think I'll start from the top of the body and work my way down. This is information I have learned from studying piercings for the last year. It will grow as my knowledge grows.

Eyebrow - The eyebrow is a facial piercing done only on the eyebrow. It's not very painful but will most likely lead to rejection because it is a surface piercing. Most eyebrow piercings may live to be less than a month to 2 or 3 years old before they fully reject. You can tell that it has begun to reject because the piercing was further back than it used to be. This usually takes 4 to 6 weeks to heal or it may not heal at all and just reject.

Ear

Helix - Done on the top ridge of the ear through the cartilage. This piercing is painful when done with a needle. Many say that the gun doesn't hurt but I am anti-gun when it comes to piercing. When pierced, the cartilage doesn't always heal. And many times, as I know from experience it will become sore and tender for not absolute reason after healing. The healing duration for this is 9 months to never.

Tragus - The tragus piercing is the little bump on your ear that is attached to your face and in front of your ear canal. Again it is pierced through the cartilage. I have heard it doesn't hurt that bad but then again it all depends on your tolerance for pain. Usually pierced at a 16 - 14 gauge.

Anti-Tragus - This is the cartilage pierced on the ridge directly above the ear lobe. This is one of the most painful piercings of the ear.

Ear Lobe - This is the most creative and most popularize piercings of them all. You can pierce it through the center like the most traditional ways or from side to side. Lobe piercings are also very easily stretched. If you plan on stretching, listen to my advice. Do it slowly and carefully. Try not to use tapers and wait till it's fully healed before stretching again. Let them stretch naturally or else you will end up with a blow out, keloid, torn ear, or a thin ear. Maybe even a couple at once. Be careful.
