| Two years ago, my previous Karuna Reiki® Master came to me for healing. She had tested positive for HIV, and requested that I assist her in the healing process. Once again, Claudia and I were amazed and blessed. Within six sessions, she went in for a retest, T-cell Count and viral load. We both believed in the power that the Karuna Reiki® held. After these six sessions, there was no trace of HIV in her blood. The original test was an Eliza backed up by a Western blot. The combination of these two tests are 99.5% accurate. We give thanks for the many gifts of spirit in Atlanta Georgia this day. Namaste! Origins of the Karuna System of Reiki The Karuna systen of Reiki was developed by William L. Rand. The symbols were channeled by several other Reiki masters. William used the symbols and found them to have value, but felt they had greater potential than had been previously accessed. He meditated on them and was guided to develop the attunement process and call the new system Karuna Reiki®. Some of the symbols used in Karuna Reiki® are used in other systems, but they do not have the same healing energies as used in the Karuna Reiki® system. Karuna Reiki® energy is different than Usui Reiki and in fact, most students find it more powerful than Usui Reiki. The energy has a more definite feeling to it and works on all of the energy bodies at the same time. Students report a feeling that the energy surrounds them and the client instead of simply flowing through them. It also has a grounding effect. Those who receive the attunements often report experiences with their guides, angels and higher self. They also report feeling the presence of other enlightened beings. Using and Teaching Karuna Reiki® The symbols can be used just like other Reiki symbols when giving Reiki treatments. When teaching, you can teach the whole thing in one three day weekend as long as your students are already Reiki masters. Karuna Reiki® can be divided into four levels-two practitioner and two master levels. It is suggested that you teach Karuna Reiki® I or II practitioner levels only to those students who have already received ART, which some call 3a. The Karuna Reiki® Master training should only be taught to those who are already Usui Reiki Masters.
