This stuff DOES NOT breakdown. Because of the chemical composition of this artifical fat, it does not store on your body in a neat horizontal line. It stores in your body retaiing its molecular structure (which is many times thicker and higher than natural fat). So you get bumpy stored fat. Did I hear someone say cellulite? Cellulite is the way our body stores hydrogenated fat. And because of the resistance of this substance to break down (it after all can withstand high temperatures for hours and days) it can withstand the decomposition heat and healthy bacteria in your digestive system.
Your body does not digest hydrogenated fat, it stores it. Much less energy. Takes less energy to store hard-to-digest food than digest it. I sense hydrogenated fats and plastic derivative food additives will even digest in a system that is visited by much vegetation, but only after an inordinate amount of time and energy expended by the body.
