Bill Aylings J125 & Starstream Bill's Starstream is a 1969 Italian import, bought from Scooter Loopy in Fareham, it needed a total rebuild, (pics above). Scooter Loopy overhauled the engine and Bill did the rest a total strip-down renewing all the bits that needed it: seat cover, wiring loom, cables, hubs, brake shoes, rubbers, speedo, petrol tap and headlight rim and then a respray. Although originally blue, Bill chose silver for the paint, the colour of a new J125 he'd owned in 1965, (pictured above) and below the result.

David Margetts Starstream Project David found this Starstream in a garden a couple of streets away from his house in Stockport, apparently the scoot had lain there for 20 years. Having forced a tenner into the hand of the guy who owned it, it took the two of them to drag it up the garden path to shift it. Everything was seized, wheels, steering, engine the lot !! With a lot of patience and a fair bit of brute force all the bits eventually came apart and with most of the new parts needed sourced, the restoration is underway. To be continued....... Linda Shuttleworth's Starstream I got a phonecall the other morning as a result of a wanted ad I'd put in Scootering. Linda didn't have the parts I wanted but having seen the ad was wondering what the connection between the J range and the Starstream model was. At 23 in 1967 Linda had bought a Starstream which she kept for a number of years. We spent a long time chatting and she told me how her and a friend had taken the scooter to Holland in 1969, covering about 2,000 miles on their travels there and she very kindly me posted me some of her pictures.

Dave Nash's Cento Before and after pics Dave is from Hookwood in Surrey. He found the Cento in a barn in a sorry state. He has rebuilt it to his own taste using as many of the original parts as he could with, I assume, a little help and advice from Jem Booth who kindly sent me the pics.

Andy Avery's J125 "The J125 was bought for £30,spent £40 on it,& sold it for £180,...............it was 1984 (we were 17),I was away with work & my brother knew I was after a Lamby ,having sold a Vespa 150,(my first scoot was a hybrid Lamby that was never on road as I was too young !!)........he said someone had this for sale I'd never heard of J range at that time & just said you look at it if its any good buy it,.........it was in superb nick, original paint etc., but being a young 80's mod, I had to change that you'll see from pics,.........my mates Jet cost him £500,& was fantastic, myself & my brother were in awe !!" Christian Hoffman's J50's Here are some pics of my and my brothers J series. My one is the green and yellow one which is in its original condition, it runs beautifully too, sorry but its a bit dusty in the pic as I have been woking on my many other mopeds. The white J50 is my brothers which he has 99% restored including alot of powder coating and just needs finishing off, due to changing circumstaces it is coming up for sale very soon!!!!!!!!!
