Wheelie/Mono:
Press down on the pedal when you are going slowly and pull up the handlebars and keep pedaling. Then you should be doing a mono!
Bunnyhop:
A bunnyhop is simply coming off the ground without the help of any jump, ramp, drop-off, etc. Pick up the front end with your upper body, and then pick up the rear end with your lower body (mainly your legs). That's it - it just takes practice. This move is essential for street riding! Keep practicing until you can get at least 2 - 3 feet high for hard-core street riding. The bunnyhop is a simple, basic trick, but one of importance - learn it.
Endo (Curb Endo):
It is much easier to do an endo if you have a good front brake, but not too good. Ride up to a curb at a slow speed, and slam you front brakes. Push you handle bars forward and lift up. When you come down you will ride backwards, but then just start pedaling forwards and you should rid away clean. Its not a hard trick, but it takes good balance.
Nosepick:
To do a nosepick, do a bunnyhop, hit your front brakes, then push the front end of the bike down into an endo (all this while still in the air). Aim for the edge of whatever you are trying to nose-pick (curb, wall, bench, whatever). Hang there on your front wheel for a second (with your front brakes still locked, of course) and then do a little front wheel hop just prior to jumping back off. This trick is not limited to a bunnyhop. For example, you can jump a hill or a ramp, nosepick a wall, and then jump back into the ramp, hill, or whatever. There are different ways you can "hop back in." You can nosepick something at an angle, turn a little bit on your front wheel, and hop back in front wheel first. This is ideal for hopping back into a jump; it's not recommended to hop back in front wheel first onto flat ground. You can also hop back in backwards and fakie out of the trick, which is somewhat more difficult. I'd suggest learning this trick well, as it is used quite often in street and ramp riding. There are also many variations of this trick (nose-pick to tailwhip, nosewheelie to nosepick, etc.).
Icepick:
An icepick is simply stalling on a surface with your rear peg. A small wall (2-3 ft.) would be a good place to learn this trick. Simply bunnyhop up on the wall and land on your rear peg. Stall there a second, and then hop back down. The front wheel should be in the air the whole time; your bike should be in more of a vertical position. Don't try to stall too long, as that will make it harder to hop back off the wall. You may find it hard to jump back off the wall at first. You have to bunnyhop from the rear peg; just lean and hop away from the wall with everything you've got. That'll do it.
Toothpick:
A toothpick is the opposite of an icepick. Instead of stalling on the rear peg, you stall on the front peg. You can do this trick like you would a nosepick, only plant the front peg on some surface instead of the front wheel, and use of the front brakes is not necessary.
Feeble grind:
A feeble grind is a grind where your rear peg grinds across a surface, and your front wheel rolls across it. This trick can be done on rails and other obstacles, but for learning purposes, I'd suggest trying it out on a small, downward sloping concrete wall. Waxing down the edge of the wall is recommended, as it will make things easier as well as make your grind faster and smoother. Regular candle wax should do just fine. Most people grind on the left side of their bike, but either side will work fine - do whichever feels more comfortable. As far as the pegs are concerned, I'd use a deep-well socket type of peg instead of the thread-on variety. I'd suggest that these pegs be smooth, chromed steel and 4 to 5 inches long. Ride up next to the wall at a medium speed and bunnyhop up onto the waxed section, with your rear peg grinding across the wall and your front wheel rolling across it. Before you come to a stop, bunnyhop up and away from the wall and ride off. That's pretty much it - it just takes some practice to hit the wall just right with your rear peg and front wheel. Again, this trick is not limited to a bunnyhop. It can be done across the coping of ramps or done by launching off a jump and feebleing across some surface.
Icepick grind:
The procedure for this trick is the same as the icepick, only you need more speed and balance. Icepick grinds are usually pretty quick, because they are fairly hard to do over long distances. Just get up some speed and do an icepick (only stay up there a little longer), and that's an icepick grind.
Double peg grind:
Same as a feeble grind, except both pegs (on the same side of your bike, of course) grind across a surface. This trick is done primarily on handrails and on ramps' coping. When you grind, you need to "lean into the wall" some in order to stay up there.
Smith grind:
A smith grind is the opposite of a feeble grind. In this case, your rear wheel rolls across a surface (such as the top of a wall or the deck of a ramp) and your front peg grinds across that same surface. Do this trick like you would a feeble grind, only land your bike in an endo with the front peg and rear wheel resting on the surface you're grinding across. Landing and grinding in this awkward position is usually more difficult than other common grinds.
Nose Stands:
are the most impressive tricks you can add to your repetoire. They make you look like a pro. All you need to do is go at a walking pace and pull your front brakes. You need to really hold them down, or else it won't work. It also helps to have toe-clips or clipless pedals, because then you can add a little extra spring. If you are really good, you can hop on your front wheel using clipless. Another thing you can do is to turn on top of your front wheel. Right when you grab your front brake, make a gradual turn to a side, and when you are up on your wheel, throw your hips and feet to the outside. Your back wheel should turn around. If it doesn't, you are dumb!!
Quick turns:
Ok, so you want to do quick turns. They are useful for off-road biking, because you can whip your back wheel around really fast. The ideal spot to do this trick is in dirt or gravel. Grass and pavement work, but they chew up your tires. First build up some speed. Then pull your back brake (right side, dummy!) really hard and turn your steering wheel kinda hard. Your back wheel should skid around really fast in the opposite direction you turned. Get used to this, because it is really useful. When you practice this trick, you should put down your inside foot to keep yourself from falling over.
Boomerang:
OK to do a boomerang you want to get yourself around the bike using momentum. So what you have to is stand on the rear pegs and bring one foot forward(I don't think it matters which one) and then throw it back , and spin your self around the front of the bike using your handle bars to guide you and to take your force. When you come around you can put your foot on the front peg or you can get the pedals if you preset them
Rear manual:
Roll slowly forward on the rear pegs and then bring the bike up into an endo. Whenthe bike comes down lock the back brakes and bring the front wheel up off theround. Now take your right foot off the peg release the brakes and scuff the rear
tire. Dont re-apply the rear brakes see how long you can roll backwards. When you are finished let the front wheel drop so you are rolling backwrads withBOTH wheels on the ground.Turn the handle bars slightly so you begin carving anarc. When the bike has turned about 90 degrees.
SKATEBOARD TRICKS!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ACID DROP:
Find a small curb to ride of as you ride off it press down your back foot on the tail. So that your board levels out, then land.
TIC-TAC:
This is a basic thing in skateboarding to help you to turn quickly. When you are moving put your back foot on the tail and spin around with your front trucks off the ground.
MANUAL/WHEELIE:
When you are moving take the front trucks off the ground by pressing down on the tail.
OLLIE:
To do an Ollie put your back foot on the tail and your front foot on the middle of the board. Smack down on the tail and slide your front foot up the grip tape. Jump into the air and balance your weight. Level out and land with your knees bent.
KICKFLIP:
In this keep your back foot on the tail and the front foot in the
low center, kind of on the side. Jump like an ollie, except instead of slide
your foot up, kick your foot out to the side that your foot was hanging
from.
POP SHUV-IT:
It is done like an ollie exept move your front foot about an
inch behind the screws. Then ollie while you are in the air kick back foot
forward and front foot back. Then bring your foot back over the board
and land! You have done a Shuv It!!!
50/50 GRIND:
You have to have some kind of grinding surface. Ollie on to
the pipe and land on the pipe with both trucks on the pipe. Slide then get
of when you feel like it.
SMITHGRIND:
Ollie on to a grinding rail or pipe. When you land on the pipe,
land so that your front truck is sliding on the rail under the outside of the
truck and the back truck on the inside. Slide till you dont want to and get
of the pipe.
FEEBLE GRIND:
This is the exact opposite of the Smithgrind.
360 AIR:
This is usually done of a launch ramp. Do an airborne 360 degree
spin by twisting your arms and torso. While flying, hold the board
frontside,backside, or mute.
FRONTSIDE INVERT:
Turn frontside, plant your backside hand on the coping,
and grab straight down on the front rail with your frontside hand.
PRESSURE FLIP:
Balance back foot on tail and front foot just below the
screws. Put pressure on the front foot and then jump the board will flick
around land when you want.
HEEL FLIP:
Have your feet placed like your gonna do an ollie, except place
your front foot so all your toes hand off the board. The ollie and kick your
front foot the way your toes point. Then try to stay above the board then
land it. That's a heel flip.
HALF CAB:
Roll along fakie, and do a fakie ollie. While
ollieing, rotate the top half of your body frontside (that's to your left side
or right side if you skate switch). Let your body and the board rotate 180
degrees, land, and youv'e pulled a frontside half-cab.
OLLIE 180:
Position your feet as you're going to ollie. Pop an
ollie and as you get to the peak, pull your front foot towards your body
and push your backfoot out. Turn your body 180 degrees and make sure
the board doesn't leave your feet. Land switchstance with style.
