Civilizaion2
No matter what you do, don't get King Richard's Crusade unless you're desperate for shields. The Hoover Dam is a modern choice which is much more acceptable.
Lighthouse - It may seem like a good thing to have, but it's more cost effective to wait a little bit and get Magellan's Expedition which has almost the same effects.
Oracle - My cities (w/temples) still go into disorder even when I have the Oracle. Wait for Mich's Chapel or JS Bach's Cathedral.
Shakespeare's Theater - Yet another waste of time. Unless you require 3 or more entertainers to avoid disorder, don't bother with this one.
Pyramids - Granaries are probably the most important city improvement in the game, and with Pyramids you get a free one in every city! This is an offer too good to miss. Unfortunately, your competitors usually know this too, so you need to get Masonry quickly!
United Nations and/or Great Wall - They can darg you out of expensive wars or they can help with new ones. These two are handy to have, either individually or separately.
J.SBach's, Women's Sufferage (possibly Hanging Gardens) - These are a must for a growing democracy! No organized invasion fleet can be cajoled by a society of protesters! (Vietnam War for instance.)
Statue of Liberty - Later on in the game, if you're in a shaky neighborhood, the Lady is mandatory...unless you want to fall way behind in science because of your fundamentalist ways. |
