| July 1, 2000 Ancient Mew Card [Story by: Jolteon] The Ancient Mew Card will be issued free if you watch Pokemon The Movie 2000. More info about this card shall be revealed soon. An images of it is in the bottom.  June 28, 2000 Imanuki? Trading Card [Story by: Jolteon] Imakuni, the mysterious character sometimes known as “Mouse Man,” appears on a brand-new Trainer promo that sports an HP rating of 2,000! The card is the latest promo from the Neo 2 expansion set and comes with a compact disc recording of the Japanese Neo theme song. The card and CD go on sale this week in Japan. You may want to think twice before rebuilding your killer decks around this card, though. This trading card will be issued soon in the US. June 27, 2000 New Promo Legendary Birds Jumbo Card [Story by: Jolteon] I just found out that Warner Bros. Studio Stores will be offering a jumbo movie promo card starting July 20. It’ll feature the three Legendary Birds and might be the English version of the Japanese jumbo card. People can get the card if they buy $10 worth of merchandise at Warner Bros. Studio Stores. I will have more ino about this soon. June 26, 200 New Eevee Promo Card [Story by: Jolteon] A new Promo card is available through the Pokemon League. This is promo card #11 - A level 7 Eevee. The card is foil and looks pretty cool. His Pokemon Power lets you search your deck for an Eevee-lution and go grab yourself and evolution of Eevee, and evolve Eevee. This is the first level 7 Eevee that we know of, and it appears to be another card that we have that Japan doesn't. June 25, 2000 No Story Today =( June 24, 2000 Lord Of The Unknown Tower Tickets Are Available In Japan [Story by: Jolteon] Tickets are already on sale in Japan for the third Pokemon movie, “Lord of the Unknown Tower,” even though the movie doesn’t open in Japanese theaters until the end of July. I have found this scan of the souvenir ticket, which features full-color artwork from the movie and the a picture of “Pichu and Pikachu” that also will be shown in Japanese theaters. The ticket price of 1,800 yen—about $17--will probably cause sticker shock among North Americans who are used to paying no more than $8 to go the movies! But people who buy the tickets in advance also get a really cool packet of souvenirs, including a book with peel-away stickers of more than 200 Pokemon, a tiny metal Pichu pin and a Pichu cellular telephone strap. A TCG promo card will also be available to moviegoers. June 23, 2000 Neo 2 Nine Card Set [Story by: Jolteon] The new Neo 2 set will be released in Japan on July 7th. It includes Pokémon from the Gold/Silver games in card form for the first time. To go along with the new set, there is also a new 9 card promotional card set to be released in early August. This new set will come in a folder similar to the first 9 card promo from the first Neo set. From the picture you can see that it's in the exact same format as the first with new cover art. You can see Pichu and possibly YanYan, the evil evolution of Eevee. |
