Pokemon Gold and Silver Versions |
| Pokemon Stadium is a game for your N64. You plug in one of your Pokemon versions to your N64 controller, and you battle like that. When you aren't battling, it shows (in full color, I think) where you are, like you are kind of playing an oversized gameboy. Pokemon Stadium 1 was out in Japan a while back, and its flaw was that it only had forty some Pokemon animated. After that, PokeSta 2(the one that will be released in the U.S.)was put out and it has all 151 characters animated, and PokeSta 3, which is still in the making in Japan, features all 250 pokemon, and won't be here for a loooong time yet. PokeSta 2 (called PokeSta here when it's released) will be out in stores on March 7. I'll add more info when I get more. PokeSta also has several mini-games to ace, and you can take pictures of your Pokemon and print it out at a snap station. You can beat the gym leaders and the Elite Four. Their PKMN are L.50, or your PKMN's highest level that you have for your team (6). |
RELEASE DATE: October 16....be ready!!!
Pokemon Gold/Silver Versions are for game boy and they are the true sequel to Red and Blue Versions. They will debut in america sometime in early fall 2000. The new versions feature 100 new Pokemon to add to the original 150. You enter the time and date because some Pokemon only appear at certain times like night, for instance. On Game Boy color, the game displays 52 colors. Your PokeDex is Upgraded, and you get a Radio from the Professor. You can call the Professor and on your radio it informs you of upcoming seminars where you might recieve Pokemon or how to take good care. You can breed your Pokemon in a breeding center, like two Pikachu. Dump them off and about 1/2 hour later, you have an egg which hatches into a Pichu. From the professor, you can recieve 1 of 3 pokemon. Your rival actually steals from him after you pick yours, again slyly picking your weakness. You can choose Cyndaqual, a fire type, Totodile, a water type, or Chikorita, a grass type. |
| Pikachu Genki De Chu |
Trading Card Game |
Pikachu Genki De Chu will be available holiday 2000 for N64. You can actually talk to your Pikachu through a microphone plugged into your 64 controller. He has moods, like when you call him stupid, he gets real mad and starts to zap stuff. There are several mini-games you can play, like one where you have to help Pikachu smash a melon. Sounds easy, right?? Well, the poor little thing has a baseball hat over his eyes, so he can't see diddly-squat. You have to direct him to the melon and then tell him where to swing.

There are supposedly 3 new decks coming out for the TCG. Base 2, a branch off the original 3 decks(fossil, jungle, base) celebrating Wizards of the Coast's 1 year annaversary of making Pokemon Cards. It combines all 3 decks into one and is coming out VERY soon. Team Rocket which was SUPPOSED to be out in January we are still waiting for. It features new cards(supposedly better)and should be out soon. Gym Leader Decks 1 & 2 are supposed to come out this summer. It features new and definately better cards. For example- Blanes Arcanine with 80 HP and an attack that does 100 damage without any backdamage or energy discarding. Brock's Uncommon Vulpix- 50 HP and better attacks. For instance it has 2.
