Red and Blue Versions
In Pokemon Red and Blue Versions, you are Ash, even though you can name him whatever you want. You travel the world of Kanto to fulfill you Pokemon quest. Your rival, Gary (Or whatever you name him....like Dork or something), follows you around and you run into him from time to time. Be on your toes!
Gold and Silver Versions
In Silver Cave, after defeating all the Gym Leaders of Kanto, you can find him. It's a pretty big maze, so watch out! Always carry an Escape Rope (Or a Pokemon with Dig, whatever) with you when you're in here. He's really tough, and your Pokemon must be at least Lv. 60 if you want the slightest chance of beating him. Here's some tips:
Pikachu Lv. 81-This thing may be strong, but it's not really that tough. If you have a Dugtrio or Sandslash, he (or she! ^.^) will be quite useful here.
Blastoise Lv. 77-Not all that hard. Use a good electic attack like Thunder, ThunderPunch, or ZapCannon, and down it goes!
Charizard Lv. 77-Usually a couple of Hydro Pumps can take this big guy out.
Venusaur Lv. 77-Grass are the easiest type in the game to beat, since they have so many weaknesses. Try using a good ice, fire, or psychic move for him.
Espeon Lv. 73-Even though Espeon may be the weakest, it's certainly not the easiest. Far from it. Try using a dark type like Umbreon, Sneasel, or Houndoom since they are resistant to Psychic attacks. Good luck with this one!
Snorlax Lv. 75- You have two options with this one. One-take it out in one hit (Good Luck!) or Two-Use a Haunter and use Dream Eater every time it awakens. That works super well!
After you win, you get credits. Again. I like Go Ichinose, under the music credits....Just a thought...
TV Show
Ash is, well, a little dense. He is the main character and thinks he knows what he's doing. He has kind of a small Pokemon collection, and sometimes he gets to be so embarrassing to his friends that even his Pikachu pretends not to know him. Gary is his rival and they rarely get along.
