Ok, here's your question...
There is a room with no windows and only one door. You are standing outside of this door by yourself, with no one else around. There are three switches on the outside which are all off. Inside the room are three ceiling light bulbs. By fliping the swicthes, How can you determine which light bulb goes to which switch with only entering the room once and not leaving back out?
You may not re-enter the room. You may not unscrew any light bulbs or follow wires. You may not use another person. You may not flip the switches and walk in at the same time. You may not stand on the outside and flip the switches and watch from the outside. You cannot do anything but flip the swicthes and then walk in. From there, you must give a valid answer. How can you tell which switch goes to which bulb just by fliping the swicthes?
