(My Grandfathers Clock, verse)
1. A
(D)king- dom's a (A7)place where a (D)king's on the (G)throne, that is
(D)some -thing which (A7)clearly is (D)seen, though we
(D)might wonder (A7)why that is (D)still how it's (G)known when the
(D)one on the (A7)throne is a (D)queen. Even
(D)stran- ger than that is the (G)fact that we don't (D)need to in-
(D)clude, forest, mountain or (A7)plains. 'Cause it's
(D)not, (A7)dirt, (D)that he is going to (G)lead. Over
(D)peo- (A7)ple he (D)reigns.
2. With the
rule of our Lord that is just what we find. It is
not based on geogra- phy. But his
king- dom is found in the hearts and minds of the
ones he has bought and made free. For the
king- dom is found in the peo- ple where the Word has been
sown and is heard and o- beyed. When we
grow, in, all of the things we've heard, we have
what we prayed.
3. And
so when we pray that the king- dom would come, though it
comes whether we pray or not, then we
ask "Through Your Spirit, would you give us some, help to
keep your commands as we ought." And not
just for ourselves but we al- so wish to pray for the
king- dom to claim every- one. 'Til the
day our Lord comes again and then heaven
is be- gun.
