What is the Sacrament of the Altar?
To the tune of "Joshua Fit the Battle of Jericho"
When we go to the altar, altar, altar,
When we go to the altar and we have the wine and bread,
We receive Jesus body, body, body,
We receive Jesus body and his blood because he said,
"This is my body and my blood, and I gave them for you."
And if Lord Jesus told us so, then we know for sure it's true.
When we go to the altar, altar, altar,
When we go to the altar and we have the wine and bread,
We receive Jesus body, body, body,
We receive Jesus body and his blood. That's what he said!

What is the Benefit of Such Eating and Drinking?
To the tune of "La Cucaracha"
We get forgiveness, we get salvation, we get life forever too.
We get forgiveness, life and salvation
From, "My body giv'n for you."
We get forgiveness, we get salvation, we get life forever too.
We get forgiveness, life and salvation
From, "The blood of Christ for you."

How Can Eating and Drinking Produce Such Great Effects?
To the tune of "The Battle Hymn of the Republic"
Now we all receive the blood of Christ, His body too, you bet
In the supper at the altar when the bread and wine we get.
And we also get salvation and we get forgiveness too,
Because He said, "For You."
Jesus said it was "for you."
So we know that it is true.
I know it was for me too
cause Jesus said, "For you!"

Who Then Receives the Sacrament Worthily?
To the tune of "My Bonnie Lies Over the Ocean"
Now, who should go up to communion
to have them the wine and the bread?
All those who believe in the Savior
And also believe what he said.
It was for you. I died to forgive all you sin, your sin.
It was for you. I died your salvation to win.
So, we should go up to communion
to have us the wine and the bread?
Because we believe in the Savior
And also believe what he said.
It was for us. He died to forgive all our sin, our sin.
It was for us. He died our salvation to win.
