(Old MacDonald Had a Farm)
1. Be-
(G)cause we're baptized (C)and set (G)free, (A7)e- (D7)i- e- i- (G)o, the
(G)sin- ful nature in (C)us should (G)be, (A7)e- i- (D7)e- i- (G)o,
(G)drowned and put to death each day, and
(G)all the old sins be thrown away. Be-
(G)cause we're baptized (C)and set (G)free (A7)e- i- (D7)e- i- (G) o.
2. This is what we all should do, e- i- e- i- o.
Let our sins make us feel blue, e- i- e- i- o.
From them daily turn aside and
let them no more in us abide. Be-
cause we're baptized and set free e- i- e- i- o.
3. The
old ways then should be erased, e- i- e- i- o. And
all of them should be replaced, e- i- e- i- o,
by a new man, cleansed and free, for-
ev- er to live in God's com- pany. Be-
cause we're baptized and set free e- i- e- i- o.
4. For
just as Christ was made to die, e- i- e- i- o, in
bap- tism too, both you and I, e- i- e- i- o,
died with him that we might be
raised with him e- ter- nally. Be-
cause we're baptized and set free e- i- e- i- o.
5. He
brought us with him thru the strife, e- i- e- i- o, that
we might live a brand new life, e- i- e- i- o.
All of this, we can suppose, is
what Baptizing with water shows. Be-
cause we're baptized and set free e- i- e- i- o.
