JIMMY & NASH?!?!
The probability of yet another side project for Jimmy Lightfoot is looking fairly strong as Jimmy and long time pal, former collaborator and Acid Test Radio bassist Nash begin talks of the duo writing, performing and recording a number of new songs.
The new (as yet unwritten) material is likely to feature Nash and Jimmy playing all the instruments on the recordings.
This announcement follows the unarguable success of their previous collaboration (along with Jane Cyprus) in Picnics In The Park.
AIDs/HIV CHARITY GIGS
It is with pride that I can announce my active involvement in and full support of this inspiring and ever-growing project which has been pieced together from the initial ideas of yours truly and brought into the light by my good friend Lily of Dirty Pink and Blue Promotions.
What is currently planned to be a SERIES of gigs throughout the Northwest featuring a true showcase of local talent from each city, with the finale scheduled to take place at the famed Jillys Rockworld in Manchester! The gigs will take place of the week of World AIDs Day on 1st December.
Thats pretty much all there is to it at the moment
.but theres plenty more information on the page especially dedicated to this subject on this website. And the address for the Official Website for this series of events will be unveiled here shortly.
Should you think that you can somehow participate in someway in helping this cause please email us:

NEW SONGS
A series of new songs have appeared in my sets as of late. I feel that perhaps, they deserve some explanation or welcome to the Lightfooted World.
The oldest new song on here is entitled Rejection Song and begins with (what I believe to be, at least) a rather nifty blues rift before crashing into some ferociously strummed rhythm. Premiered to a slight degree of mixed criticism, this song is rather personal to myself and seems to have the ability of really making me feel alive on the stage due to the energy it brings out of me. Although this song does have a tendency of making me snap strings both in practice and on stage!
Not Gonna Stop is a most uncharacteristic Lightfoot song, I think. The words are delivered in speech sandwiched by an imaginative guitar part (according to one reviewer). I doubt very much that the subject matter of this piece is ambiguous at all. Rather, it is my protest towards the sheer unrivalled cowardice of certain Cretin Critics.
Life Sentence is the newest of the bunch and was written especially for the upcoming AIDs Awareness gigs. I rather like it. Its pretty downbeat whilst still maintaining a certain kick, I believe.
At my last show I included a last minute cover of Bruce Springsteens Fire.
