| A MINERAL is: a chemical compound which is inorganic, or not alive. A ROCK is: made up of 1 or more minerals that are naturally occuring. SEDIMENTARY rocks are formed when sediments build up on top of each other and cemented together. IGNEOUS rocks are formed when magma cools and crystalizes or when magma comes out of a volcano & cools on earth. METAMORPHIC rocks are formed when heat and pressure change rocks into a new type of rock. Here are some locations of rocks around the world!
