What does God ask of men?
"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you!(Matthew 6:33)
All scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: (2nd Timothy 3:16)
"Faith Principle!"
Before we go into all the things that God expects. I thought it may be good to discuss a principle,that if put into practice it may be easier to understand
God and his purposes for your life. I was at a men's conference here in "2006" and got a copy of this principle, now this conference was very long, but this bit of information,God really spoke to my heart about passing this on!
Faith Principle
If I am willing to do his will ,I will know?
Willing precedes knowing,
If I am willing to believe, I will see!
Believing preceeds seeing,
We say seeing is believing!!
God says no, believing is seeing!!
God says if you are willing to do his will he will let you understand, more and more of what his will is ,so that you will know it!
So here we see that God isn't going to let you understand his purpose for your life unless you get the "Yes" out of the way! Commiting yourself by saying "yes Lord I will serve you,
and I desire to know my purpose in you!" Doing it daily!
God says also that if you Believe! You will see!
Believing in God with your heart and believing he can make the difference in your life,
and believing that he was your sacrifice is a requirement to seeing!
This is big in the fact that everyone doesn't see,but all would expect to see!
What is seeing? It's the recognition of God manifested in many ways.
What is knowing? It's the understanding of God's intent and purpose for your life!
This is why many loose themselves to the world and never recognize God!
What they expect is to know! What they want is to know! They think they should know!
What does God say? Willing precedes knowing, Are you willing??
What they expect is to see! What they want is to see! They think they should see!
What does God say? Believing preceeds seeing, Do you Believe??
Finally, Doing this principle from a willing heart to follow and saying yes to God!
will bring about a new and exciting area in your life you never dreamed existed!
"The apostle Timothy speaks about a workman irreproachable!"
2Timothy 2:15 be diligent to present thyself approved to God -- a workman irreproachable, rightly dividing the word of the truth;
2Timothy2:16 and the profane vain talkings stand aloof from, for to more impiety they will advance,
2Timothy 2:17 and their word as a gangrene will have pasture, of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus,
2Timothy 2:18 who concerning the truth did swerve, saying the rising again to have already been, and do overthrow the faith of some;
2Timothy 2:19 sure, nevertheless, hath the foundation of God stood, having this seal, `The Lord hath known those who are His,' and `Let him depart from unrighteousness -- every one who is naming the name of Christ.'
2Timothy 2:20 And in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth, and some to honour, and some to dishonour:
2Timothy 2:21 if, then, any one may cleanse himself from these, he shall be a vessel to honour, sanctified and profitable to the master -- to every good work having been prepared,
2Timothy 2:22 and the youthful lusts flee thou, and pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace, with those calling upon the Lord out of a pure heart;
2Timothy 2:23 and the foolish and uninstructed questions be avoiding, having known that they beget strife,
2Timothy 2:24 and a servant of the Lord it behoveth not to strive, but to be gentle unto all, apt to teach, patient under evil,
2Timothy 2:25 in meekness instructing those opposing -- if perhaps God may give to them repentance to an acknowledging of the truth,
2Timothy 2:26 and they may awake out of the devil's snare, having been caught by him at his will.

"GOD GIVES MANKIND HIS 10 COMMANDMENTS"
Exodus 20:1 And God spake all these words, saying,
Exodus 20:2 I am the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
Exodus 20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
Exodus 20:4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:
Exodus 20:5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
Exodus 20:6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
Exodus 20:7 Thou sha
lt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
Exodus 20:8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Exodus 20:9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
Exodus20:10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
Exodus 20:11 For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
Exodus 20:12 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.
Exodus 20:13 Thou shalt not kill.
Exodus 20:14 Thou shalt not commit adultery.
Exodus 20:15 Thou shalt not steal.
Exodus 20:16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.
Exodus 20:17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's

Parable of the rich and unwise man!
Luke 12:14 And he said unto him, Man, who made me a judge or a divider over you?
Luke 12:15 And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.
Luke 12:16 And he spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully:
Luke 12:17 And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits?
Luke 12:18 And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods.
Luke 12:19 And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry.
Luke 12:20 But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?
Luke 12:21 So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.
Luke 12:22 And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on.
Luke 12:23 The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment.
Luke 12:24 Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls?
Luke 12:25 And which of you with taking thought can add to his stature one cubit?
Luke 12:26 If ye then be not able to do that thing which is least, why take ye thought for the rest?
Luke 12:27 Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
Luke 12:28 If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith?
Luek 12:29 And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind.
Luke 12:30 For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things.
Luke 12:31 But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Luke 12:32 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
Luke 12:33 Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth.
Luke 12:34 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
Luke 12:35 Let your loins be girded about, and your lights burning;
Luke 12:36 And ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open unto him immediately.
Luke 12:37 Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them.
Luke 12:38 And if he shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants.
Luke 12:39 And this know, that if the goodman of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched, and not have suffered his house to be broken through.
Luke 12:40 Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.

Some Advice!
" SOME ADVICE FOR MEN FROM THE APOSTLE TIMOTHY!"
1Timothy 6:10 for a root of all the evils is the love of money, which certain longing for did go astray from the faith, and themselves did pierce through with many sorrows;
1Timothy 6:11 and thou, O man of God, these things flee, and pursue righteousness, piety, faith, love, endurance, meekness;
1Timothy 6:12 be striving the good strife of the faith, be laying hold on the life age-during, to which also thou wast called, and didst profess the right profession before many witnesses.
1Timothy 6:13 I charge thee, before God, who is making all things alive, and of Christ Jesus, who did testify before Pontius Pilate the right profession,
1Timothy 6:14 that thou keep the command unspotted, unblameable, till the manifestation of our Lord Jesus Christ,

"A Commitment from you!"
,
"If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free." John 8:31-32 (NASB)
When considering what God asks from you maybe you should consider what a father may want from his son!
Then again that may be just obedience! My suggestion is a recipe but it works, commitment
is the first and without it the rest just seems to fall away! Not going to church,Not reading your Bible,and not fellowshipping with other believers is gonna pull you away from what God has for you,thus his relationship with you is lessened! Commitment is the determination to be a follower of Jesus Christ at any cost! Commitment is reading the word of God, when you don't feel like it! Commitment is helping another when it is inconvienent for you to do so! Commitment is an increase in your knowledge of the Bible! Commitment is the Faith that all God has for you will be answered in his word,that includes his promises,his rewards,and his great work in you! He is the Author and the finisher of the great work he started in you! As long as you recognize that his hand is always out there for you and that in taking hold he will never let go!
The next item in the recipe is Love,not tough but it should embolden your character towards all! Realizing that God is your strength and he protects and uplifts you so man has no call on you that God cannot correct! So there is no weakness in the Love I speak of! When Pontius Pilate brought Jesus before him and said" You know I have the power to crucify or save you?" then Jesus said" You have no power except what the Father in heaven gives you!" This also keep in mind is how Christ loves us and he is our shield and buckler and we by no means will suffer to endure any more than is his will. Understanding that the trying of or faith is making us stronger. This is distinct as it shows us like Christ we are representatives to this earth of a heavenly kind! This love I speak of is how we carry ourselves as such representatives!
Faith and Trust ,for without these you are unable to please God! I liken this alot to prayer, have you ever prayed and then said now "God it's in your hands!" The faith in that statement is that God will answer! The trust is believing he can do as you have asked or according to his will he will deliver your prayer. That means you just believe for what you have asked in faith and walk in it! PERIOD!!!!!!!!!!!
