| Islam the origins and rise! |
Islam:Origin and Rise , Islam arose, like Christianity and Judaism, on the Arabian Peninsula amongst the Semitic people. Islam's founder, the prophet Muhammad, was born almost 600 years after Jesus of Nazareth in the Arabian city of Mecca. At the time, Mecca was an important commercial center.
Muhammad was to enter into a successful career as a trader, and made several business trips to Persia and other lands. Nicknamed "the Reliable" (al-Amin), Muhammad was a reflective man who greatly valued dignity and respect in his dealings with family and friends.
He was also drawn to spiritual questions. Arabia in Muhammad's day was home to a great variety of religious practices. Much of the polytheistic tradition of the early Arabs survived in and around Mecca; people there worshipped a number of divinities, and called upon each for inspiration or assistance as the occasion demanded. Challenging these beliefs, perhaps, were Jewish communities that had established themselves in the northern half of the peninsula and the Sheban dynasty, in the far south, which had converted to Judaism. Christianity, also, was not unknown to the Arabic population- from time to time, missionaries who spoke of the teachings of Jesus appeared in Mecca, and won some converts. Muhammad's encounters with these dominant belief systems, and with other more minor religions he had come across in his travels, led him to ponder their meanings, and to undertake to discern the "true faith."
As he grew older, this pursuit came to occupy more and more of his time. He often retreated to a cave above Mecca (caves being sources of power, according to ancient Arabic belief) to meditate on religious matters. According to Islamic history, it was there that Muhammad, at age 42, was visited by the angel Gabriel, a well-established figure from the Jewish and Christian lore. Gabriel informed Muhammad that he was to be the definitive prophet of "Allah," the true God, and that he would be responsible for transmitting to the world the true and complete will of the Creator. This will was then revealed to Muhammad by Gabriel in the form of the 114 surahs (chapters) which would comprise the Koran.
Gabriel also spoke of other, lesser prophets who had come before Muhammad and through their actions furthered Allah's work amongst the inhabitants of His creation. These prophets included some recognized as such by Islam's sister religions, such as Jesus, Abraham, and Moses. The Islamic view is that these holy men, through their good deeds and their primitive insight into Allah's will, helped prepare the world for the revelation of the Koran. The major books of the Christian and Jewish traditions (the Torah and the Gospels) are thus accepted by Islam as being divinely inspired.
But while Islam from its inception had adopted the teachings and the luminaries of its antecedents, it differed sharply with them on certain matters. Principal among these, of course, was the fact that Christians and Jews refused to recognize Muhammad as the final prophet of the one true God. There were also differences over fundamental matters of doctrine. Islam denounced the Christian concept of the Trinity as blasphemous, as it put Jesus on the same level as God. The more humble Islamic view holds that Allah's messengers, including Muhammad, are never more than men, however developed their divine insight may be.
ISLAM: Things to consider!
My passion in building this website comes from a personal relationship with my Savior Jesus Christ! The truth is that identifying religions that do not have salvation based
on his saving grace, often will bring contention! I myself do not have a contention with
Muslims, I would like to believe and pray that all who would research their faiths would have the opportunity to reveal to themselves just where it is that they are headed if their mission is failed or flawed! If you told me for instance that Jesus was a prophet,my reply would be according to what we know of Jesus that is incorrect. On at least two different occasions he claimed he was God. (John 14:6),(Luke 22:69-70),(Luke 10:22)
The fact is without many hours of dedication and research and information
I can't rely on my decisions. Decisions to follow some religion or faith come mostly from
direct family or friends! My mother was Catholic so I am Catholic! My Father is a Muslim so I am a Muslim. People around you often have a vested interest in your life and share with you information which brings about decisions they would like you to make! Here in lies the problem. If I say the sky is blue and you cannot see it your gonna have to take my word for it. If I am your father that is all the more reason to do so! Without question you honor your father and take him at his word! Then a friend comes along and says yes it is but!!
It is blue on sunny days, but grey on cloudy days and black and grey on rainy days!
Well my Father didn't tell me that?? So what do you do? If you are dealing with religion
first you must study it,learn about it and learn about it's origins. If we were studying Islam then we would want to learn about the Prophet Muhammad's life how around 622 A.D
he was involved in worship and creating the origin's of Islam at the Ka'aba!
Now without debate Islam is very old,but that's around 600 A.D. where it all began, well for Muhammad it did ,but for Islam that is a tougher question! To go back further we need some form of scriptural evidence for an earlier Islam! The claim being made that it is yet older lies in respect to Abraham! Before I stop here on this point,I wan't to tell you
about a wonderful book! The answer to the question of Abraham(Abram)rests in a book called the Holy Bible,far older and bound by first person eyewitnesses to facts we see Abraham as a man who worshipped God and God is called in these early books the God of Abraham, Isaac,and Jacob almost 1,200 years before Muhammad we have(Yaweh)as the earliest artifactual name found for God in 600BC. A carbon dated metal tablet reviewed by the University of California at Berkely, has been unearthed with his name inscribed with a Gospel found today in the Book of Acts! Now if we can just take a look at "origins', we find several things that give us cause to pause, and say well if we are gonna believe all we are taught we need to understand someone is not telling the truth because all religions don't lead to heaven and they all didn't start at the same time and everyone cannot be right! So who is the one we should listen to well I have read the Quran and the Holy Bible! Now I must admit I have read the Holy Bible in it's complete entirety and the Quran I have read in parts not out of context but not in completion. I do however find through study and my personal relationship with Jesus that the contents of the Quran and the message of Islam is incorrect! This is contentious to some but to those who would ask or call upon the name
of the Lord Jesus Christ the same shall be saved! How is it that I say these things you ask well two ways....
1. Divinely: Jesus(Yeshua Hameshiac) has revealed himself to me personally and his message is not one of contention,war,atrition, and violence. It is however peace at all costs,loving they neighbor always not just until he does you wrong but always and this is stressed!
2. Study and research: it is good to know where you place your faith has anyone asked you yet you fall short of answers or you cannot reckon saying that this is not true because or that is wrong because and the ends don't justify the means by which you arrived!
I study a lot of spiritual material but that is because I am not gonna take someones word for my Salvation and neither should you. Please realize that Jesus had twelve disciples and most of them including James his brother died violent death's never renouncing he was the Son of God, the Messiah,and they did this all at a time when it profited them nothing and it was unpopular to do so! Yet how many would have lived had they renounced Christ
all of them? Eight of them? Four of them? Well the question remains but all of them were so compelled that he was the son of God that the words were still on Jame's tongue as his skull was crushed by an angry crowd! Yet they all went to their death's proclaiming him God the Son! Now If he were a prophet why bother just say hey I don't know that Guy and life and freedom are yours! They refused! Death was the price they paid but let me ask you this what man goes to his death screaming Jesus is Messiah and does it without a care?
A convinced one! My answer!
What was the reward for these men if after all this they were dead?
An eternal one! My answer!
An important fact is this when Muhammad first arrived on the scene in 600 A.D.his claim was that Abraham 1800 B.C.E was Muslim and that the followers of Abraham were Muslim and that Abraham's worship
was Islam. Yet remember Islam had not been created yet, also remember that when Islam was created by Muhhammed almost 300 seperate idols were being worshipped at the Kaaba',
so they had infinite God's before Muhammad said Allah was the one they should worship
so because Muhammad made vast sweeping reforms in Islam how could Abraham who died two thousand years earlier had been aware of these reforms? The entire Holy Bible and Christianity had been created with Abraham's life finely detailed to be anything but Muslim in nature. Abraham who was originally called Abram had two sons according to the Bible.
Ishmael, and Isaac one was promised as God's chosen ,and that also according to the Bible was attributed to Isaac. Now remember the Old Testament was complete with Abraham's life almost 2000,years before Christ and remember it was the only true record that remains in any entirety. Abraham was born according to scholars in or about 1812 BC/BCE and lived to 1637 BC/BCE There is no mention of Islam as his religion and therefore it would be false
to attribute that to him! The problem is that the Biblical record of Abraham life is very much in opposition with the claims made by Islam and yet it is by far the only record we have
in full documentation and truth! So then I ask you on which foundation do you base your faith and where do lies creep in if we are looking for them. The answer is change. Anytime somebody says let us change something to fit a purpose the possibility is deception and here in lies the deception! Islam is cracking the foundation upon which it stands by incorporating something which denies it's very existense!
Last in many ways in the faith of Islam ,Jesus is considered a prophet! Now why would this be so if we have Jesus claiming he was God! Muslims say they respect him, yet if Jesus's words are true he will be their executioner! He said in John 14:6 I am the way the truth and the Life and no man comes to the father but through me! Notice he didn't say Allah! This being said to his disciples almost 600 years before Muhammad is an earthshaking claim,Jesus the one the Muslims say they respect yet Jesus says that without their belief that he is God they shall
die in their sins. What sins? Well ,here we know ,that mankind is according to God wrapped up in sins from anger to persecutions to murder. Jesus said that he came and died on the cross to save us from ourselves, and this wicked nature. Yet to be saved we have to repent of these sins and believe in him this is our free will,that he suffered and died and rose again! If we turn away from wrongdoings, chaos ,envy, and strife! Put our faith in Jesus as he asked
and call upon his name we are saved! Something Jesus was asked by his disciples one day was this! Master of all the commandments you gave which are the most important Jesus replied: first:You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart,your strength and all your mind!
and second: You shall love your neighbor as you love yourself!"
In conclusion this sounds like what my God would say?

The Mufti of Jerusalem, Haj Amin Al Husseini stated, "I declare a holy war, my Moslem brothers! Murder the Jews! Murder them all!" The armies of Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Egypt and Iraq invaded the tiny new country with the declared intent of destroying it.

Bahraini Cleric Abdullah Latif Aal Mahmoud on the Rules of Wife Beatings in Islam
The following are excerpts from a lecture by Bahraini cleric Abdullah Latif Aal Mahmoud. Bahrain TV aired this lecture on [J]une 20, 2005
Sheik Aal Mahmoud: If the husband wants to use beatings to treat his wife, he must never ever do it in front of the children. It must remain between him and her. It must be done according to the following conditions: He must not cause bleeding or bruise her body. He should avoid her face and other sensitive parts of her body. As we've said, the limitations on beating are: They must not cause bleeding, they should not break any bones, they should not be on the face, and they should not bruise her. If the husband violates these rules, he violates the rules of Allah. If she has been hurt, the husband is held liable for what he has done, because the woman is not his merchandise. He cannot do to her whatever he wants. Even if the wife forgives the husband, it does not mean Allah will do the same on Judgment Day.

"Let's look at Muhammad's Life"
For centuries before Muhammad was born, Allah was the al-ilah (chief god) among the more than 300 idols in the Ka'aba.
Allah was the moon god, who had no son but three daughters, al-Uzza, al-Lat and Manat. Allah was represented by one of the idols in that pagan temple: Yet Islam blasphemously teaches that this sanctuary for false gods was built by Abraham and Ishmael. Surah 3:96,97 claims that the Ka' aba was "the first Sanctuary appointed for mankind...where Abraham stood up to pray; and...pilgrimage [hajj] to the House is a duty unto Allah for mankind, for him who can find a way thither."
There is no claim in Islam that the Ka'aba, as Abraham (supposedly a Muslim) allegedly built it, was without idols, or that they were added later, justifying Muhammad in smashing them, including the one representing Allah. Yes, he did away with that part of paganism, yet he retained every other pagan ritual that had long been associated with the Ka'aba; only the idols themselves were no longer present.
In A.D. 622 Muhammad fled to Medina in the Hijrah, from which the Muslim calendar dates. In 628 (A.H. 6)* he returned with some followers seeking to join in the worship at the Ka'aba. The Meccans, who at the time were stronger than he, would not allow it. Out of that encounter came the Hudaybiya Treaty, a cease fire for ten years, which remains the rule for Muslims to this day. No permanent "peace" can end the perpetual jihad between dar ai-Islam and dar ai-HaTh (non-Muslims). Only if the Muslims are not strong enough to continue their attack is a cease fire (temporary cessation of jihad) allowed, and then for no longer than ten years. It can be broken at any time that the Muslims have regained the power to do so. (This fact of Islamic law makes a joke of any "peace" documents that they may sign with Israel pursuant to Oslo or the current "Road Map to Peace.") As part of the Hudaybiya Treaty, Muhammad and his followers (the Muslims of Medina) were allowed to make their hajj to Mecca the following year. This they did, joining pagan Arabs in ceremonies which had been associated with the Ka'aba for centuries. The next year (A.H. 8) Muhammad captured Mecca and with it the Ka'aba.
Thereafter, Muslims continued to mingle with pagan Arabs in the hajj. Eventually, however, the Prophet gave the pagans four months in which to convert to the new religion or be killed. Thereafter, only Muslims were allowed to approach the Ka'aba, now purged of its idols-a restriction which holds to this day. In AH. 10, the year of his death by poisoning, Muhammad led his followers in the traditional pagan ceremony, making it part of Islam. Thus Muslims continue today in the same rituals practiced by their pagan ancestors for centuries before Muhammad was born. These pagan practices associated with the Ka'aba were sanitized by identifYing them with Abraham, David and the prophets.
Because Islam falsely claims to be the original and only true religion, all of the early Bible characters ftom Adam to Jesus are wrongly portrayed in the Qur'an as Muslims. (Allegedly, the Bible has been corrupted, or it would read just like the Qur'an today.) That would mean that the Israelites who conquered Canaan were Muslims and therefore all of so-called Palestine and Jerusalem have a Muslim history, belonged to Muslims in the beginning and belong to Muslims today! (Yet the Qur'an itself says in Surah 5:3 that Islam began with Muhammad.) The elaborate ritual which pagans practiced to aid in their salvation is still continued by Muslims for the same purpose. While on the hajj, upon approaching Mecca, one must prepare oneself several miles outside the city through purification rituals. Only then may one proceed to the sacred mosque al-Masjid al-Haram and kiss the sacred Black Stone embedded in the eastern comer of the Ka'aba within the mosque's interior courtyard. One then goes around the Ka'aba three times at a run and four times at a slow pace, each time touching the Yamani comer, where another sacred stone rests, and kissing the Black Stone again. Muhammad said the latter came down ftom heaven "as white as milk, but was made black by the sins of the children of Adam." The pilgrim then goes to Maqam Ibrahim where Abraham supposedly prayed toward the Ka'aba, repeats two prayers, returns ,and kisses the Black Stone again. He must then drink from the sacred well of Zero Zem from which, supposedly Hagar and Ishmael drank. Leaving the mosque by one of its 24 gates, he climbs the nearby Mt as-Safa while reciting from the Qur'an. From there he runs back and forth seven times to the summit of as - Marwah, commemorating Hagar's search for water. It is now the evening of the sixth day and he returns to Mecca, circumnavigates the Ka'aba again and remains in Mecca. On the seventh day he attends a sermon in the Great Mosque, and on the eighth proceeds to Wadi Mina to another ritual and spends the night. On the ninth day he climbs Mount Arafat for the rite of "standing" (wuquj) where Adam and Eve supposedly met after being expelled from the Garden. Prayers are recited and a sermon on repentance attended before he hurries to Muzdalifah, a place between Mina and Arafat, in time for sunset prayer.
The next day prayers are recited again at Muzdalifah, and then the pilgrims proceed to Wadi Mina, where they throw seven stones at each of three pillars representing Satan, while reciting "In the name of Allah, the Almighty, I do this in hatred of the devil and his shame." Then follows the sacrifice of a goat or Iamb in commemoration of Abraham's sacrifice of Ishmael (not Isaac) according to Islam.
Is this paganism? Of course it is, yet it remains the holiest part of Islam, and Muslims who have participated in the hajj (required at least once in a lifetime) testify to the transforming spiritual experience of this pagan ritual. Polygamy, easy divorce, and slavery are only some of the other pagan practices retained in Islam along with numerous superstitions.
What we may consider as an interesting point is that at one point in time around 700 A.D. is that Islamic forces had conquered all there areas south of what is today the Holy Roman Empire during the Crusades with a huge Arabic army
marching on Europe Islam may have very well had a larger impact on todays world if it had taken Europe by force at the
"Battle of Tours"  The Battle of Tours (often called the Battle of Poitiers, but not to be confused with the Battle of Poitiers, 1356) was fought on October 10, 732 between forces under the Frankish leader Charles Martel and a massive invading Islamic army led by Emir Abdul Rahman Al Ghafiqi Abd al Rahman, near the city of Tours, France. During the battle, the Franks defeated the Islamic army and Emir Abd er Rahman was killed. This battle stopped the northward advance of Islam from the Iberian peninsula, and is considered by most historians to be of macrohistorical importance, in that it halted the Islamic conquests, and preserved Christianity as the controlling faith in Europe, during a period in which Islam was overrunning the remains of the old Roman and Persian Empires

The group called "Hamas" was formed in 1987 and now controls the Palestinian Government and won the recent election to power here in 2006! they are a terrorists organization by there own standards and claims and even though I would not thorougly attribute them to Islam they are elected by the people of a major muslim territory! although Palestine has not recieved Nation status it is key in many major muslim events!
